File - Archbishop Chapelle High School
November 2015 Dear Parents:
When we think of our national holidays, one of the first that comes to mind is Thanksgiving. It was at
the first Thanksgiving that the Pilgrims, who landed at Plymouth, gave thanks to Almighty God for the
blessings they received in establishing the New World. This spirit of thankfulness should be timeless.
During this special time of year, it is only right that we pause for a moment and ask ourselves what it is
for which we can be thankful. Obviously our faith in the sacrifices of Jesus, the love of our family and
friends, and the opportunity to live in this free and democratic country are reasons to be extremely
thankful.
There is another significant reason for the Chapelle staff to give thanks. That is, of course, the privilege
of being associated with you and your wonderful daughters. For that, the administration, faculty, and
staff give thanks each and every day. Because of your magnificent support, generosity, and commitment
to Archbishop Chapelle High School, we are in a great period of optimism about the current state of this
school and its future potential.
All of us at Chapelle pray daily for our Chapelle family. We wish all of you a very HAPPY
THANKSGIVING!
Loyal to green and white,
John A. Serio
Principal
Campus Ministry Notes
Thanksgiving Prayer:
Father in Heaven, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love, please
look kindly upon us and receive our heartfelt gratitude in this time of giving
thanks. Thank you for all the graces and blessings. You have bestowed upon
us, spiritual and temporal: our faith and religious heritage. Our food and
shelter, our health, the loves we have for one another, our family and friends.
Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us continued graces and
blessing throughout the coming year. This we ask in the Name of Jesus, Your
Son and our Brother. Amen.
Living Rosary
On Thursday, October 15, the Archbishop Chapelle High School Campus Ministry team in
conjunction with the Archbishop Rummel High School Campus Ministry team presented the Living

Loyal to Green & White Night
On Wednesday, October 14, Archbishop Chapelle held a special night for alumnae and their
middle school female family members to celebrate the Chapelle legacy. Past, current, and future
Chipmunks enjoyed dinner and speeches accompanied by the talented Chorale. It is wonderful to
see so many moms, daughters, aunts, and nieces living the Green and White legacy!
Junior Retreat
On Tuesday, October 13, the Junior Class went on retreat to the Hispanic Apostolate. Speakers
were Dr. Susan Caldwell (Women’s New Life Center’s Hope Woman’s Clinic), Sr. Tracey Dugas
