PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to a new year and to PACE. First, I
would like to take the opportunity to thank Mike
Meerdo for all his hard work and dedication
during the past four years in leading the Club. I
would also like to thank all the other officers
throughout those years who stepped up and made
this Club what it is today. And not to be left out, I
thank all the members for all they have done.
Without the members, PACE would not exist.
The newly elected officers are eager to lead PACE
into 2014 and a great season full of fun and
friendship and those beautiful Camaros. We are
working on a monthly newsletter that will include
photos, events, and updated PACE information.
I hope to see more and more members attending
the meetings and events. This is your Club. The
only way to get to know your Club is to come out
and join us. You won't be disappointed.
I look forward to 2014. If you have any questions
or opinions, please do not hesitate to contact me at
deneff805@verizon.net or 412-916-4830. Thanks
and see you soon.
You are invited to join us as we journey into the world
of mass communication as we at PACE launch a new
effort to keep you, our members, abreast of the
happenings of our club. This is YOUR newsletter. We
want it to be fun, informative and easy-to-read. In
upcoming editions, we will reintroduce the member
profile. Let us know what you think. Do you have a
suggestion? Do you have an idea for an upcoming
topic? Let us know! We want to hear from you so we
can help you “keep PACE with the times”!
Ask a friend to join PACE! The more members,
the more fun!

A recap of last month’s meeting
The annual PACE Christmas party was held on January 4 at
Carmody’s Restaurant in Wexford. Before the festivities
swung into high gear, a brief business meeting was held.
President Jeff Bilka thanked everyone for electing him
president for 2014 and pledged to do his best to keep PACE
moving forward. A special election was held for the office
of vice president and Denny Schreiber was elected to fill
the post. Congratulations Denny! Mark Seifert and John
Ballish have been busy getting the new website up and
running. So if you haven’t already done so, check us out at

PACE TO INVADE THE WORLD!
World of Wheels, that is!
Excitement reached fever pitch recently as the World of Wheels selected three
of our members to participate in a display showcasing the five generations of
the Chevrolet Camaro. The 53rd Annual World of Wheels Motorama is set for

January 24 , 25 and 26 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh, and JD
Dauer, Mark Seifert and Denny Schreiber are going to be putting in over time to get their Camaros ready for
their grand appearance. JD and his 1987 Z28 Serious Black was chosen to represent the third generation,
which covered model years 1982 to 1992. This is one of two Camaros in the Dauer stable, and many of our
members have yet to see this addition, as it was a late season acquisition and hasn’t made the rounds of the
circuit yet. The fourth generation will be well represented by Mark’s Baby, a beautiful red Camaro that has
been the apple of Mark’s eye since he first saw it on the showroom floor of a local Chevrolet dealership.
These stylistic gems were produced for model years 1993 through 2002 in Sainte-Therese, Quebec, Canada
under the tutelage of PACE member Scott Settlemire. Rounding third and heading for home is the Crystal
Red Tintcoat 2010 Camaro SS/RS owned by Denny Schreiber. Named Spawn after a popular comic book
character created by Todd McFarlane, Denny’s jewel features enough LED lighting extras to rival Times
Square on New Year’s Eve. So the winter cold will be chased away by these and other hot cars for three
days in January. Hope to see you there.
