Beendhi, a story of passion,
inheritage and inventiveness.
Beena Paradin, founder of Beendhi!
Beena has two passions: Cuisine and Spice gardens.
Instead of choosing between the two, she decided to
pursue both and launched Beendhi.
Beena’s creations are inspired by her childhood in
India and her adult life in France. Raised between
the stoves of her grand mother and of her mother,
Beena cherishes memories as tasty and delicate as
family cooking can be. She later fell in love with French
cuisine and upgraded her know-how, learning from
renowned chefs and restaurants among which the
Louis XV in Monaco.
Her native Kerala region, situated in the South of
India, inspired in her an infinite passion for spices,
starting with the ones that grow there: pepper, vanilla,
ginger, cinnamon, nutmegs, star anise or cloves…
Beena has published three books of Indian Cuisine:
“Mes Recettes Indiennes” in 2006 “Pure et Simple” and
“Inde Intime et Gourmande” in 2009. The latter was
awarded in February 2010 the Best Foreign Cookery
Book in the World by the Gourmand World Cookbook
Award.
Beena runs a cooking show on Cuisine TV and serves
as a teacher at l’Ecole, Alain Ducasse’s training center.
Since 2011, she also collaborates with Olivier Roellinger.
Together, they launched an assortment of spice blends
under the name “Olivier Roellinger by Beena” that is
designed both for traditional Indian cuisine and creative cooking.
