The Time is Now - Boardman Booster Club
The Time is Now
Let’s build the new Boardman Spartan Stadium.
About the Stadium Project
The Boardman Booster Club, a 501 (c)(3) organization is spearheading the fundraising campaign
of a new multi-purpose stadium on the Boardman High School Campus.
The current stadium on Market St. was built in the 1930’s, expanded in 1966 and is now in
desperate need of major renovation. Rather than put money into the current stadium it was
decided to move Boardman’s stadium to a new location on the campus of Boardman High School.
Twenty years ago through a joint effort by the Boardman Rotary, the Boardman Booster Club, and
the Boardman Schools, a Sports Complex was built on the high school campus with the idea of
some day locating the stadium at that site.
We have successfully completed the turf for the start of the 2014-2015 school year. On September
6, 2014, the community, school officials, and student athletes had the opportunity to hold a ribbon
cutting ceremony and athletes from girls and boys soccer teams, and freshman football team
played games on the new turf. The student athletes were thrilled to have the opportunity to play at
the new facility.
The Boardman Booster Club’s stadium committee is pursuing donations throughout the community
in order to play varsity football at the new stadium in the fall of 2015. Cash and stock donations,
pledges over five years, and donations of required construction materials or services, are all being
solicited and will be recognized on a Wall of Honor at the new stadium.
We are asking for the support of our local businesses to help us finish this stadium project for the
Fall of 2015.
Thank you for your consideration,
The Boardman Spartan Stadium Committee
