2016 NIMA Annual Convention in Barcelona-Catalonia
ABOUT CATALONIA
Catalonia is a Mediterranean destination with a great geographical diversity and an open and innovative
society. It has distinguished itself as a pioneering and highly dynamic territory in the industrial,
commercial and service sectors. Catalonia and its people have traditionally been a welcoming society that
is open to the world, a tireless leader in business development and constant innovation.
The excellent quality of life and business climate, a stable institutionalized political system, cultural
events, gastronomic richness, the diversity of its sea and mountain landscape, the quality of infrastructure
and the professionalism of its organizers make Catalonia an ideal destination for hosting conferences and
business events.
In Catalonia, with its capital Barcelona, you can find a great network of conference and convention
centers and trade fair venues in its major cities, as well as wide range of unique indoor and outdoor
spaces, adapted and equipped to accommodate all types of meetings and events. The infrastructure
makes it possible to stage successful customized events while enjoying all the attractions that the region
has to offer: excellent cuisine, cultural cities, shopping, luxury, wellness, sea, nature, mountain sports,
golf, ski and more.
