Missing Link® is an innovative valve that is applied when turbo/supercharging normally
aspirated engines. It works by blocking boost pressure from the factory ECU (computer).
Once in boost, the valve closes off all pressure to the engine’s MAP sensor and then uses
the principle of Diffusion to equalize the MAP to ambient barometric pressure in order to
simulate a wide open throttle condition.

TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
Synchronic – adj 1: Characterized by existence of simultaneous events in a given phase.
Synchronic™ is a pneumatic/hydraulic, multi-tiered, piston technology derived from the ubiquitous
cylinder actuator. Synchronic™ is not intended to increase actuation force over cylinder actuators. But
what it does allow is for a control mechanism with a higher resolution than cylinder actuators. Synchronic™
achieves improved controls over cylinder actuators by allowing the substrate area, where pneumatic and
hydraulic pressures act, to be partitioned and effectively produce a ratio against the substrates acting
on the opposing force vector. Pneumatics and hydraulics systems operate via system generated control
pressures. The variance of pressure values produced by a given system for control mechanisms requires
the complexity of multiple pressure generation systems and/or myriad pressure grading. Synchronic™
geometry can eliminate the need for grading of control pressures at the actuator level.

PROTOTYPICAL INNOVATION BY DESIGN
Innovation is the product of our most basic drive,
problem solving. Innovation then becomes the
foundation for the next evolution.
In 1999 we designed the Missing Link® product
line to fix some of the unaddressed reliability problems that plagued aftermarket turbocharged Honda
and Acura owners. Six years later the underlying
concept still stands and the Missing Link® is, today,
an industry standard.
On March 8, 2005 the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) granted patent number 6,863,260
for a new approach to the actuator, dubbed Synchronic.
We don’t hold a patent for a fuel pressure regulator, or
some feature thereof. Synchronic is a fundamental redesign of the geometry of the ubiquitous
pneumatic/hydraulic actuator. This approach is
one that we endeavor to commercialize for applications
in Automotive, Aerospace, Medical devices, Manufacturing, etc. It is this horizontal platform technology that you
will find in our new line of Synchronic fuel pressure regulators. It is this approach that has allowed us to miniaturize the legacy FMU to 1/5th its original size.
Synchronic will also be the core for products
we will be launching that will challenge the
legacy approach to the pneumatic boost
controller, blow off valve and wastegate.
