This traditional time-consuming and tedious preparation necessary for the punching of thick metal plate, such as marking, stippling, manual positioning etc, now belongs to the past with the different types of machines GEKA has developed with CNC technology. CNC technology has proven benefits of accuracy, reduction in cycle times, reduced handling and consistent quality of component to the customer. The current demands concerning productivity and accuracy can only be met by means of CNC programmable positioning devices, equipped with Fagor CNC control from which Slide and gripper of PAXY 1000 GEKA proposes the following: PAX Programmable positioning in the “X” axis for the punching of long steel profiles. PAXY Programmable positioning of the “X” and “Y” axis for plates up to 1500 x 750 mm. PAXY 3000 Programmable positioning of “X” and “Y” Axis for plates up to 3000 x 500 mm (máx. plate size 15000 x 1000 mm, details upon request). SEMI PAXY Programmable positioning of “X” and “Y” Axis, for plates up to 1000 x 650 mm plate is indexed manually to guide stops. (up to 5000x650 with SEMI PAXY X-PLUS). Encoders for precise positioning are mounted within the d.c. servo motors. The metal plate is moved in the “X” axis by 2, 3 or 4 grippers depending on material length. Triple Head unit, fitted with 3 punches which are selected in turn by CNC Fagor unit (max. hole 31 mm). 2. When the control is started up, the guide stops are positioned for first hole The material to be punched is placed against guide stops and the punching pedal is activated, the ram then cycles. After the punch has returned to the pre-set clearance height, the table guide stops move to the next programmed position. This sequence is repeated until all holes are punched.
