AUCTION
RULES
1. Children may enter the Silent Auction only
when accompanied by a parent and may NOT
bid on any items. You must be at least 18 years
of age to make a bid.
School neither warrants nor represents, and
shall in no event be responsible for the accuracy
of the description, genuineness, authorship, or
condition of any auction item.
2. Bidding will open on Friday, May 1st, in the
Silent Auction (auditorium area). The bidding
tables will start closing promptly at 3:00 p.m.
on Sunday, May 3rd. An announcement will be
made of the imminent closing of each section
of tables.
7. St. Francis de Sales school cannot be
responsible for any failure by a successful
bidder to utilize the item or services within the
specified time period.
3. All items are described on the Bid Sheets.
Each Bid Sheet indicates a minimum opening
bid. Each successive bid must be raised in the
multiples stated on the Bid Sheet in order to
constitute a valid bid. Any exceptions must
be approved and initialed by a Silent Auction
Manager.
4. To bid, write your name, telephone number
and bid amount on the uppermost blank line
on the Bid Sheet. Only bids completed with all
such information are considered valid bids. Any
bidder, who wishes to make a bid larger than
the stated raised multiple on the bid sheet, must
present a picture I.D. to an authorized Silent
Auction Manager in order to have a valid bid.
5. The last valid bid entered on the Bid Sheet
before bidding is declared “closed” constitutes
the winning bid and will be marked by an
Auction Official. In the event of competing
bidders at the closing of an item, sealed bids
will be submitted and the highest bidder at that
point wins. In any event, the decision of the
Auction Officials will be final.
