For more than 50 years, Zeta Beta Tau has been a non-sectarian Brotherhood of Equals, and for more than 25 years ZBT has been a pioneer in the fight against hazing, having abolished all twotier membership statuses and pledging practices in 1989. ZBT is represented on more than 90 campuses across North America and has initiated 140,000 brothers. Describe the individual's projects and/or successes: iJOURNEY is an interactive online e-learning community for Zeta Beta Tau undergraduates, alumni, volunteers and staff members. iJOURNEY allows brothers and volunteers to connect with others around the world, keep in touch with friends made at international programs, share ideas, gain valuable resources from the Fraternity and more. iJOURNEY will also allow the Fraternity to: • Engage all undergraduates in the Fraternity’s educational programs. • Give all undergraduates a consistent message on Fraternity education, risk management and officer training. • Utilize technology to meet the needs and learning styles of today’s college students. • Provide personal and professional development for all members ensuring a relevant lifetime Fraternity experience. • Give members a ZBT transcript that records modules completed, positions held and conferences attended summarizing a member’s undergraduate experience. • Provide a convenient “one stop shop” for officer resources, checklists, education and training. This is the second consecutive year the Fraternity has earned a Laurel Wreath Award. The Laurel Wreath Award is presented to individuals or groups in recognition of their unique programs, community outreach or influence within the fraternal world. 2015 honoree iJOURNEY is ZBT's online educational tool. As part of ZBT's brotherhood development program, iJOURNEY allows brothers and volunteers to learn, engage and grow. In 2014, Zeta Beta Tau received the Laurel Wreath Award for our Safe Smart Dating program hosted in partnership with Sigma Delta Tau and Jewish Women International.
