The Parenzana, a cycling route that runs
along the Slovene coast, starts just out of
Ankaran.

tracks, a beach volleyball court, a bowls

tennis and, of course, a number of water

A restored former Benedictine monastery, today the Convent
hotel offers all the comforts of a 4-star hotel with 23 rooms and
a luxuriously decorated suite. Shaded by tall pine trees, Villas Cedra, Bor and Adriatic have
120 rooms , from which are 48 familiy rooms with bunk beds
(90 cm x 200 cm).
The rooms are furnished in classical style and have all the
standard facilities (satellite TV, phone, mini bar, hair dryer, air
conditioning, internet). The rooms have a view of the park or
of the atrium with a fountain built in 1835, which almost invites
you to relax in its shadow and let your imagination run free

All 18 suites are at ground level and have a terrace.
Preparation training
for athletes
Hotel&Resort Adria Ankaran is located near
the sea in a little green oasis with a mild
climate. Away from the big cities in the heart
of pristine nature with abundant greenery, is
the most appropriate place for athletes who
want to prepare and train in perfect peace.

locations can be used for preparation
trainings:

In colder days, you can try the indoor
swimming pool with heated sea water,
where you can relax in two Jacuzzis or
swim in the big swimming pool (17m x 16m,
depth 135 cm). Children can play in a small pool equipped
with a slide. Outside high season, you can
also join the water aerobics class or bring
your child to learn how to swim in the
special swimming lessons for toddlers.

The indoor swimming pool also has a
terrace where you can sunbathe in the
warmer days or have an excellent coffee
with a view of the sea.

Cardio fitness is a computer-guided safe
exercise, suitable for top and recreational
athletes. First, an aerobical and anaerobical
test is made, on which basis a gym
professor forms a personal programme,
coded on a special exercise key. The key
has to be put into the exercise device each
time. The data collected on the key are
used by a special programme to adjust the
exercise to the individual.

Golf at Mokrice Castle
At the foot of Gorjanci hills, hidden in the solitude of an English park, is
situated the Mokrice Castle, a luxurious hotel for guests that require the

The 18-hole Golf course is an important part of the castle’s offer and is a

Dobrna
Terme Dobrna is Slovenia’s oldest working health resort. The springs have been known since
Roman times and the first mention in written sources dates from 1403. The park surrounding Terme
Dobrna has been created in accordance with the ancient principles of the Chinese art of feng shui.

Small pets can be accommodated in hotel Park- extra

The heart of the spa is the thermal spring,
located in the central part of Zdraviliški
dom. The water springs from a depth of
1.200m with a spring temperature ranging

The alkaline thermal water with a
temperature at the source of around 35 to
36,5°C, and contains adequate amounts
of calcium, magnesium, and hydrogen
carbonate is the main healing factor in the
Dobrna spa.

A unique sauna centre occupying 500m2,
with six steam and Finnish saunas, an

nude sunbathing).

Thermal spring
The heart of the spa is the thermal spring.
It can be found in the center part of Hotel
Zdraviliški Dom. The spring is captured in a
multangular stone wall covered with glazed
tiles, which come together in the upper
pyramid-shaped top that is cut off.
The thermal spring has extraordinary
physiochemical
characteristics.
For
this reason it can be used for treatment
of various illnesses. The water, which
contains 3.4 percent of carbon dioxide in
the form of gas and has a slight radioactive
effect because of the number of an organic
substances it contains, is chiefly used for
thermal bathing in the pool or in huts, for
mud baths, pine baths, and salt baths.

Dobrna is an ideal place for cycling, for those, who like driving in a remote area or over
hills, valleys and meadows, as well as those with helmets on their head exploring asphalt

For more than a decade, Rogla has been the venue for FIS
and European Cup competitions. Since 1997, Rogla has
been a year-round Olympic center as well, since its location,
mild climate, and outstanding sports facilities offer athletes

Rooms that can be found in the Rogla Sports Centre are equipped with special
devices which modify air pressure and, thus, the percentage of oxygen in the
air. Through computer monitoring one can simulate various heights above sea
level and, by that, also the concentration of oxygen.
And Rogla offers still more: only seventeen kilometers away
is the affiliated Zreče Health Resort. Here are swimming
pools with thermal spring water, saunas, solariums, etc..
