COMPREHENSIVE CHILD SAFETY
Kanakuk has pursued excellence in summer camping since 1926. That pursuit
is most evident in our Kamper Safety Systems. This is priority #1. Year-round,
full-time, industry-leading staff are dedicated to these safety areas.
SAFE FACILITIES
A fun activity is a safe activity. Our dedicated
year-round facilities staff are seasoned veterans
focused on providing safe and injury-free learning
environments for each specific Kamper age
group. From triple redundant safety harnesses,
to ongoing safety innovation, we seek to maintain
the highest standards in the camping industry.

KANAKUK CHILD PROTECTION PLAN (CPP)
The CPP consists of four Protection Zones, four Abuser Remedies,
six Abuse Management Fields, and over 180 measurable Protection
Elements. Your child will learn to recognize, resist and report
uncomfortable situations, a skill they can easily take with them to
church, school and extracurricular activities. The CPP was developed
and implemented here at Kanakuk in conjunction with industry and
national agencies. Kanakuk is training and equipping youth-serving
organizations on this system. The goal is to train 1000 summer
camps in the next five years. For detailed information and to see the
