Procedure to Cast UCLA Plastic Sleeve
Waxing:
1. Place UCLA plastic sleeve onto analog in the model (implant/abutment analog ) and
secure it with abutment screw.
2. Modify the plastic sleeve based upon your requirements. Leave 2mm in occlusal clearance.
3. Wax up with conventional crown and bridge technique.
4. Clean the interface portion of the wax-up with wax solvent.
5. Direct or indirect technique should be employed for sprue. Position the abutment sleeve chimney toward
the base of the ring.
Investing:
1. For UCLA plastic sleeve, it is recommended that a high liquid compared to water ratio is used for
maximum expansion. Please refer to manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Pay attention to the investment as it flows up through the screw access hole as you pour the investment
into the ring on a vibrator.
3. Highly recommended: Use pressure pot under 15-30 psi to ensure bubble free casting.
Burnout and Casting:
Observe the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Devesting:
Any chemical devestor should be employed when devesting. (Do not use sandblast for mating surface area.)
Soldering:
1. Make dough out of fine grain phosphate investment using water. Pour on each cavity to prepare for
solder. Put in burn-out oven and use highest temperature as recommended by the manufacturer to obtain
maximum expansion. Prepare for solder while casting investment is hot.
2. If solder is not done properly, repeat same procedure again.
Porcelain:
1. Pay attention to implant interface area and screw access hole when working on a porcelain crown and
bridge application.
Final Seating:
1. For optimal screw tightness, use a 30Ncm torque wrench for final restoration placed.
Tapered abutment and Spectra Cone Abutment attachment fixation screws use 15Ncm torque.

The retaining screw, which comes in lengths of 22, 24,
and 26mm enhance the ease of use of the impression coping. The knurled head is easy to grip and tighten into the

Titan Implants’ Implant Locator Pin is a straight threaded pin with a serrated
handle designed for several practical uses:
At times, it may be difficult to insert an impression coping or abutment
intraorally due to impaired visibility or access. The implant locator is easier
to screw into the implant. Once inserted, by hand, the impression coping or
abutment will slide over the pin and lock in place because of the snug fit of
the head. Then the implant locator pin is removed and replaced by the
appropriate screw.
The implant locator pin can be used to check for parallelism and positioning of
the implants intraorally. This can be done in the lab too. In the lab, the implant locator pin is convenient for custom abutment fabrication. Simple slide
the plastic sleeve down the implant locator pin and proceed to wax-up to the
appropriate gingival height. The ease of sliding the abutment on and off
saves time and simplifies lab work. (This can be actually done in the
mouth)
The implant locator pin comes in three different lengths and different threads to
match various manufacturers.

INTRODUCING TITAN SIMPLE STEP ABUTMENT….
Choosing Proper Abutment Diameters for the Titan Simple Step Abutment
Measure the available space between the proximal surfaces of the teeth adjacent to the
edentulous area.
Subtract two millimeters since it is necessary to have at least one millimeter between the abutment flare
and the adjacent root surface. This will give you the maximum abutment diameter for the available
space.
If more than 1mm is available on each side choose a larger diameter profile. There are three levels of
profile diameters for each abutment system: level 1 (implant platform), level 2, and level 3. (See the
chart)
Choosing Proper Abutment Preparation Height
Measure the space between the gingival crest and the opposing tooth. Subtract three millimeters.
This will give you the proper abutment height.

Choosing the Proper Collar Height
Measure the distance between the implant platform and the crest of the gingival on the lingual
and the buccal. Choose the highest number. Note: Usually the buccal is the
highest number. Subtract ½ or 1mm from this number. This will ensure that the collar is slightly
below the crest of the gingiva. Choose the closest collar height from the chart.
If the collar height is different between the buccal and lingual and you wish to follow the
contour of the gingiva, modify the collar appropriately.
TIP: The best results are obtained taking a tissue model impression of the implant using a
transfer coping. The lab can then easily choose and modify the proper abutment for the available
space.

TITAN DESIGN Solid Abutment (Alternative FOR TG Solid Abutment)
The Titan One Stage compatible system is a unique solution for the problems inherent to the tapered solid
abutment.
Increase prosthetic retention.
The Titan design incorporates a hexed collar that more than doubles prosthetic
retentiveness. It also incorporates a deep circumferential groove just above the hex
portion that also contributes to retentiveness and is an integral component of the transfer system.
Attachment tools
The Titan Design solid abutment system requires a socket wrench and a hand tightening tool that fits over the
socket wrench. These tools will allow the dentists to easily achieve hand tightening of more than 20N.
You may also insert the socket wrench into a torque wrench and use that assembly to tighten the attachments.
20N is all the force that is necessary since our attachments are precisely manufactured.
Top surface receptacle
The top surface has an internally threaded receptacle that can be used in the following ways:
Attach the enclosed inserting screw to easily carry the abutment to the implant
Insert implant locators to help judge proper angulation corrections
Convert or construct very retentive fixed detachable cases on One Stage implants
Transfer system
The system includes Titan’s highly accurate single piece transfer copings.
The system is best used with a closed tray impergum impression.

processing on the following Monday. Delivery times do not include Sunday or national holidays. Titan will
prepay shipping costs and add charges to the invoice covering the shipped product. Please ensure correct and
most current shipping address is provided as Titan Implants is not responsible if you have moved or reported
an incorrect address. If package is returned back to us by the carrier for any reason that is no fault of our own,
buyer is responsible for additional shipping cost. Have your customer number, the catalog number and the
quantity of items you wish to order to make ordering easier. Titan will contact you via e-mail or telephone call if
the items ordered are currently not in stock.
TITAN IMPLANTS INC. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. Definitions: In these terms -"Seller" means the seller of the Goods as defined herein; "Buyer"
means the entity purchasing the Goods, including any successors thereof; "Goods" means the goods,
products and materials manufactured, imported, supplied and/or delivered for or by Seller to Buyer, as
such were approved by Seller in reply to Buyer's order. "Contract" means the contract for the supply of
Goods which have been ordered by Buyer and specified in Seller's Invoice and or Order Confirmation,
which contract is concluded based on these Terms and Conditions of Sale unless otherwise specified
in the Approval of Order.
2. Payment: Payment for Goods shall be due on or prior to the delivery date of Goods and no discount
may be taken. Payments received after the due date specified in the invoice shall bear a service charge
of 1.5% per month. All payments shall be made in U.S. dollars.

call a meeting of its creditors, or (iii) make any assignment for the benefit of creditors, or if (iv) a bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership or reorganization proceeding shall be commenced by or
against Buyer, then, in each such occasion, Seller may, at its sole discretion, opt to (1) cancel this and
any other Contract with Buyer (without waiving any of Seller's rights to pursue any remedy against
Buyer); (2) claim return of any Goods in the possession of Buyer, the title of which has not passed to
Buyer, and enter Buyer’s premises (or the premises of any associated company or agent where such
Goods are located), without liability for trespass or any alleged damage, to retake possession of such
Goods; (3) defer any shipment hereunder; (4) declare forthwith due and payable all outstanding bills of
Buyer under this or any Contract; and/or (5) sell all or part of the undelivered Goods, without notice at
public and/or on private sale, while Buyer shall be responsible for all costs and expenses of such sale
and be liable to Seller for any shortfall in the discharge of the amounts due to Seller.
8. Order Cancellation
a. (For all orders): To cancel an order, call Titan’s Customer Service Department during our business
hours Monday through Friday as soon as possible after order is placed. All orders should be cancelled
before 3pm EST. Orders placed after 3pm EST cannot be cancelled.

USE.
3. Prices, Duties and Taxes: Unless otherwise noted, items sold by Titan Implants Inc. are subject to
sales tax in the state of New Jersey (select states) in accordance with the applicable laws of that state.
Items sold in all states are subject to Medical Device Excise Tax. All prices and product availability
subject to change without prior notice.
6. Claims and Liability:
a) Unless Seller shall within 7 working days after delivery of the Goods, receive from Buyer written
notice of any matter or thing by reason whereof it is alleged that Goods are not in accordance with the
Contract. Goods delivered shall be deemed and presumed to have been supplied, delivered and
accepted in all respects in full conformity with the Contract and Buyer shall be entitled neither to reject
the same nor to raise any claim for damages or for other remedy in respect of any alleged negligence
and/or breach of warranty and/or any condition.
b) In any claim, brought subject to the conditions above, Buyer must prove to the satisfaction of Seller
that it followed Seller's instructions for use, care, storage, maintenance, handling and application of the
Goods. In addition if there is a claim by Buyer, Buyer must first contact the Seller to discuss the situation and give Seller and Seller's agents/employees full access to the goods to have them inspected for
the alleged defects within one week of such complaint being made.
c) Unless otherwise specifically restricted by mandatory applicable law, Seller's liability under any claim
and in connection with any possible allegation, whether based on negligence, contract, or any other
cause of action, shall be limited to either (i) the replacement of the Goods or the supply of equivalent
goods; (ii) the repair, or payment of the cost of repair, of the Goods; or (iii) credit in an amount equal to
the purchase price specified in Seller's pertinent invoice, or in an amount of equivalent goods, all at
Seller's sole option. Buyer acknowledges that the remedy available to him as specified herein, is in lieu
of any remedies that may be otherwise available to him, now or in the future, whether in law or in
equity, relating to any loss or damage, whether directly or indirectly, arising from the purchase and/or
the use of Goods, including without limitation, any actual or contingent damages, loss of production,
loss of profit, loss of use, loss of contracts or any other consequential or indirect loss whatsoever,
whether pecuniary or non-pecuniary.
d) Buyer, for himself and for any other party which may claim either under or through Buyer, or independently of Buyer, including Buyer's employees, directors, officers, representatives, affiliates and
personnel, shall indemnify and hold Seller harmless, from and against any claim or liability for damages
for negligence including but not limited to, any claim in connection with the design, manufacture, use,
care, storage, delivery, application or maintenance of any Goods sold hereunder, whether alleged to

11. Entire Agreement: This Contract merges the entire terms and conditions for sale of the Goods. In
the event of any conflict between the terms herein and any provisions included in the Invoice and or
Order Confirmation, the latter shall govern and prevail. Subject to the foregoing, nothing specified in, or
referred to by, any other document, record or instrument whatsoever, which relates to and/or which
otherwise subsists in connection with the sale of Goods herein, whether expressly or impliedly, including any written order, request or other standard or specific terms of any entity, shall or may be interpreted to attribute to Seller and/or to Seller's affiliates or representatives (i) any liability, obligation,
commitment and/or undertaking, and/or (ii) any waiver in connection with or of any right, whether
contractual, proprietary, in-personam and/or equitable, including but not limited to, any and all intellectual property rights in connection with the Goods, which are and shall always remain in the Seller's
exclusive and complete ownership under all circumstances whatsoever, notwithstanding any sale of
Goods hereunder and whether the Goods shall be standard Goods or manufactured to a specific order.
The Buyer shall refrain at all times and for whatever purpose from infringing, contesting, disputing or
questioning such rights, patents, trademarks, titles or interests, nor shall it aid or allow others to do so,
regardless of whether directly or indirectly. No modification or waiver of any provision hereof shall
become valid and effective except upon a written instrument duly signed beforehand by Seller. No
waiver by either party of any default of the other party shall be deemed a waiver of any subsequent or
other default.
12. Law and Arbitration
This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New
Jersey and the jurisdiction and venue of Bergen County, New Jersey.
