Utility Corridor
Just a reminder to snowmobilers and off road vehicle
users that the railway right of way is a Utility Corridor and is not for recreational vehicle use. Please do
not ride on the railway right of way for your safety
and for the protection of vital utility infrastructures.
Demolition and Burning Pits
At Castor and Halkirk we are still finding general garbage materials in the demolition and burning pits.
This general garbage material belongs in the waste
bins. Those pits are not to be used in any way for
general household waste materials.
Hazardous Waste Placed In Paint Recycling
Containers
We see hazardous waste materials such as WD40,
Household Cleaners and other aerosols being placed
in the Paint Recycling Containers. This type of material has to be removed from the bins or when the bins
are picked up the recycler charges PRWM Ltd. for
proper disposal of this material. Please store hazardous waste material until the Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up is
held which is scheduled for this
coming May. Also, please do not
place this type of material in the
regular waste bins or in any other
place.

FCSS Introduces Family Day Unplugged Feb. 18/13
Castor FCSS encourages you to "Disconnect to Connect"
Disconnect to connect - with yourself, your family, and your community. This
Family Day, turn off the TV, computer, video games, and all your devices. Enjoy
spending time with your family - go for a nature walk, go ice skating, share a
family dinner...
Why Unplug?
-73% of kids would rather play with their parents than watch TV or
use the internet.
-Residents in connected neighborhoods have greater quality of
life.
Ways to CONNECT every day:
-Cook dinner or bake cookies together as a family.
-Have a family game night or play hide-and-seek
-Take a walk by yourself or with a neighbor
-Go sledding, bowling or play in the snow.
-Read a book or meet a friend for coffee
Having trouble disconnecting from technology?
-Give yourself a break from the internet and turn off your computer
-Rest your thumbs and phone a person instead of texting
-Do what you need to do to relax, connect and de-stress
-Let the fan cool on your gaming systems
