INTRODUCTION
SHORT OVERVIEW
The ANEST IWATA Group, founded by Iwata Seisakusho in 1926,
is a leading global manufacturer in the sector of coating technology with over 1,300 employees around the world. We offer
high-quality coating technology for the application of spray materials in the fields of car refinish, woodworking and industrial
paint finishing as well as airbrushing for all areas of individual
application around the globe.
In addition to pumps and compressors, spray painting systems
are among the most important products of the company.
The headquarters of the ANEST IWATA Group are located in Japan. The newest products and leading technologies which are
utilized around the world are developed in our technical centers
in Japan.
To focus on the German market, ANEST IWATA established ANEST IWATA Deutschland GmbH in Leipzig. This location focuses
on setting up and expanding technical sales support as well as
caring for the network of dealers in Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe.

WHAT DOES ANEST IWATA STAND FOR?
The ANEST IWATA Group is a continually active corporation which is oriented toward steady development. By consistently developing new products and leading innovations in technology, we always strive toward constant improvement and perfection. The ANEST IWATA group is the innovator for employing the latest application processes.
ACTIVE & NEWEST TECHNOLOGY IWATA
There are a great variety of technical demands required of spray painting engineering depending on the various
sectors which use the technology. Thus, there are huge differences in the parameters regarding the required quality of coating equipment. Only an optimized combination of the technical parameters will convince the operator
and encourage him to enjoy working with the selected equipment.
ANEST IWATA knows the needs and quality demands of our customers and offers continually improved product
solutions, thus ensuring a high degree of perfection.

HISTORY
THE MOST IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS IN ANEST IWATA’S HISTORY
ANEST IWATA has been developing and producing first-class products for the sectors of spray painting and coating
technology, compressors and vacuum pumps as well as systems engineering since 1926.
The first notable milestone was the development of the first spray gun by iwata in 1927. The first piston compressors followed airless spray technology and pumps. In the 1960s, the first ANEST IWATA paint-spray lines and air compressors with two-way cooling came onto the market, followed by airbrush spray technology, screw compressors,
double diaphragm pumps, the world’s first painting robot, as well as the world’s first oil-free vacuum compressors
and pumps.
In addition to low-pressure spraying technology and low-pressure
vacuum pumps and booster compressors, the product range was
expanded by the product range of AirGunsa (a brand of ANEST
IWATA).
2000
2000
Just at the turn of the millennium in the year
2000, ANEST IWATA introduced the most
ground-breaking technology of all onto the
market: the High-End Pre Atomization Technology4 with split nozzle whose high performance
has been recommended by paint manufacturers worldwide and is available around the
world.
2013
2003
In 2013 ANEST IWATA united the Pre Atomization Technology with the HVLP Technology and
released a professional spray gun which had
never existed on the market before.

1998
1993
In 1993 ANEST IWATA released the first spray painting gun with
LVLP1 (Low Volume Low Pressure) technology as a successor to the
HVLP2 technology. In 1998 we launched the High T.E.C.3 (High Transfer Efficiency Control) spray gun series.
1
LVLP Technology: The LVLP (Low Volume, Low Pressure) low pressure technology atomizes paint material yet reduces mist levels with a low internal
nozzle pressure and a low consumption of air. That means the air requirement is significantly lower than in the HVLP method.
HVLP Technology: The HVLP (High Volume, Low Pressure) low pressure
technology atomizes paint material yet reduces mist levels by using a low
internal nozzle pressure, yet higher air consumption.
High T.E.C. System: High Transfer Efficiency Control in compliance with
VOC regulations with an efficiency rate significantly higher than 65%.
Pre Atomization Technology: The Pre Atomization Technology with split
nozzle- in contrast to the established standard round nozzle- the material is
pre-atomized directly at the edge of the nozzle. The result is an even, soft
and finely atomized spraying stream with low air incoming pressure and less
air consumption. The spray material can be well directed and less overspray
(spraying mist) results. The wet core is evenly developed with a high potential to reduce material consumption.

A CLOSER LOOK AT PRODUCTION
FROM INGOTS TO SPRAY GUNS
The ANEST IWATA factory in Akita was established in 1972. It is one of the factories in which the ANEST IWATA superior spray gun models are manufactured.

1 Spray gun bodies are manufactured out of aluminum ingots
2 The molten metal is injected into the mold and pressed.
3 The de-burred spray gun bodies are furnished with threads and drill holes.
4 Air cap, material needle and nozzle. ANEST IWATA know-how.
5 Spray gun assembly with a high degree of manual work.
6 Inspection of the spray pattern with coating material.

A DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGY: PRE ATOMIZATION TECHNOLOGY
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THIS TECHNOLOGY?
With the Pre Atomizing Technology with split nozzle - in contrast to the
conventional round nozzle - the material is pre-atomized directly at the
outer edge of the nozzle.
The results in an even, soft and finely atomized spray stream with
low inlet air pressure and low air consumption. The spray material is
applied in a targeted fashion with a low amount of overspray. The wet
core is evenly characterized and exhibits a high potential to save on material usage.

THE ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE
Very fine atomization with low inlet air pressure

Less air consumption
Soft spray pattern for easy operation
Significantly less overspray
Very high material transference due to large,
even, flat spraying core
High spray painting safety
