Boscombe Chine Gardens is a local
nature reserve and a Green Flag site,
offering colourful floral flower beds,
grassy areas, and a mixture of deciduous
and coniferous trees and wildlife habitats.
The land train travels up through the
Chine from the seafront onto Boscombe
High Street (weather permitting). There is
also a crazy golf course and waterthemed play area and ball court. For
wildlife lovers head inland and visit one of
Bournemouths ‘Local Nature Reserves’.

In the heart of the New Forest is Beaulieu
National Motor Museum, with a vast
selection of vehicles from the early 20th
century cars to modern rally cars! Discover
a wealth of history at Palace House, stroll
around its Gardens, and learn about the
monks who lived in Beaulieu Abbey. New
for 2014 is the Land Speed Record Gallery
showcasing some of the most famous
landspeed record vehicles.

The historic Salisbury Cathedral is
England’s finest medieval cathedral. With
stunning Gothic architecture and
spectacular views of the town of Salisbury
and the surrounding countryside from its
spire – the tallest in Britain at 404ft. The
Cathedral also houses the best preserved
original copy of the important historical
document, Magna Carta (1215).
For a fun and fascinating day out be sure
to visit Monkey World. Located near
Wareham, this attraction is the largest
ape and monkey rescue centre in the
world. Home to over 250 primates of
more than 20 different species. Meet the
stars of the TV series “Monkey Life” and
monkey around in the south’s largest
great ape adventure play area.
The UK’s first multi-purpose Coastal
Activity Park will be arriving at Boscombe
seafront in Spring 2014. The zone starts
at Toft Steps extending eastwards
beyond Boscombe Pier, and will feature
a continuous choice of activities as well
as a multi-use sports area and national
events site - something for everyone, all
ages and of all level of fitness.

swimmers will be able to snorkel the reef

Sherborne Castle has been the Digby
family’s stately home since 1617. Built by
Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594, the castle
boasts many magnificent state rooms
with stunning art, furniture and porcelain,
and spectacular 42-acre gardens and
grounds. Visit Raleigh’s kitchen, see relics
from the Civil War and explore the
museum deep in the castle’s cellars.
Exbury Gardens is a magical woodland
garden found in the New Forest, with a
200 acre array of beautiful
rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, rare
trees and shrubs to delight visitors of all
ages. Take a relaxing stroll along the
river or sit back and enjoy the views of
the Garden on Exbury’s 1 ¼ mile circular
Steam Railway.
Discover Swanage Railway, the historical
and award-winning standard gauge
preserved steam railway located in
Dorset. Climb on board and experience a
unique journey through six miles of
beautiful scenery passing the magnificent

Navy, The Fleet Air Arm Museum will
change your perception of aircraft
museums. Home to Europe’s largest
collection of naval aircraft, including aircraft

Haynes International Motor Museum,
houses the UK’s largest exhibition of the
greatest cars from around the world. At
this impressive venue, visitors can view
over 400 cars and bikes from nostalgic

Bentleys and Rolls Royce collections to
exciting super cars like the Jaguar XJ220.
The Tank Museum in Bovington brings
history to life with over 300 tanks to see in
five powerful exhibitions. Don’t miss the
‘Warhorse to Horsepower’ exhibit - new
for 2014! Visitors can also view the world’s
first ever tank, experience ‘tanks in action’
displays during the summer holidays and
ride on a tracked armoured personnel carrier!
A visit to Marwell Zoo provides an
opportunity to get close to the wonders
of the natural world and play a big part
in helping to save them. From ringtailed coatis to majestic giraffes, the
140-acre park is home to over 170
exotic and endangered species. Look

House and Gardens is a stunning 15th
Century house boasting some of the
