Kenya Truly professional... Created in 2011, the Kenya Footballers Welfare Association – KEFWA – is making immense strides. The presence of KEFWA delegation at the Division Africa congress in Cairo 2013 was a compliment to the work we have done and accomplished. This has provided both legitimacy and reinforcement to our field work promoting a constructive platform in order to advance and ultimately help KEFWA’s course of championing the Kenyan footballer’s rights. It is together that we will succeed in hoisting Kenyan and African football in general to greater heights. Joining Division Africa is only a stage not an end unto itself. The support KEFWA received from FIFpro Division Africa went a long way to help set up structures to act as a spring board to become truly professional. Kenya is moving and its footballers with it. Let us take this opportunity to strengthen KEFWA which is already recognized and making efforts to establish professionalism in the Kenyan leagues, their development and success.
