resident of Greenwich, Levien is the bestselling author of
City of the Sun, Where the Dead Lay and 13 Million Dollar
Pop, and he shares screenwriting credits on Ocean’s
Thirteen and Rounders in addition to having produced
The Illusionist and The Lucky Ones and co-written and
directed Solitary Man. His most recent project is the TV
series “Billions,” which he jointly created, wrote and
produced.

Dekel Oren is the chef and owner of a small hamburger restaurant to
which he brings his great love and passion for food and people.
Pastry Chef Dana Berzak is owner and chef of catering company,
Kinuah (dessert in Hebrew), and has an expertise in macaroons and
cupcakes. Dana was a Young Emissary in Fairfield in 2004-2005.

Community service with Leket Israel, the national food bank of Israel • Visit Tel Aviv & Jerusalem
Experience history • Float in the Dead Sea • Climb Mount Masada
Visit Sde Boker, the home of David Ben-Gurion • Do a project with at-risk Israeli teens
Archaeological dig • Jeep tour in the Negev dessert and bonfire
Visit an ammunition factory and science park • Meet with Israeli soldiers
Breakfast in a Bedouin tent • Remember at Yad VaShem Holocaust memorial museum
Details of itinerary are subject to change based on teen interest. Refundable deposit of $200 will save you a spot!
Register with your deposit by June 21, 2016 to receive the early bird trip cost of $1990. This covers the land portion of the trip.
Participating in this experience does NOT exclude individuals from participating in Birthright Israel trips in the future. Minimum of six
participants. Teens do not need to have any prior Jewish knowledge or identify as Jewish to participate in this experience.
