Traditional Shivam Yoga Dublin
We are very
honoured to have
the founder of
Shivam Yoga at our
festival this year

Orthodox/Traditional Shivam Yoga – For all levels
Anyone that practices Traditional Shivam Yoga seeks the improvement of consciousness as a focus
of daily living. This is found by observing oneself. We observe the way we express ourselves through
our experiences so as to cultivate a renewed awareness of this world, Nature and all Universe.
Basically, in an orthodox practice ones will be practicing: Dharana (Mental Concentration), Pujas
(Transmition of Energy), Pranaymas (Breathing Techniques), Asanas (Mental Physical Exercises),
Dhiana (Meditation), Mantras (Chanting), etc.
Beto
ADALBERTO MOLLICA
DONATELLA BECCU
Beto Mollica, has 22 years’ experience
in Shivam Yoga School, and is based
in Dublin since 2007 developing
this traditional methodology that
respects the original source of Yoga
knowledge, which began between
7 and 10 thousands years in the
Dravidian Civilization. The Shivam
Yoga is grounded on two philosophic
bases called Sankhya and Tantra
philosophies.
Donatella.beccu@gmail.com
Shankhya explains about the
existence of the life and Universe
based on Universal laws, mainly
Karma and Dharma laws.
Moynalty Yoga Festival 2015
Tantra is a behavioural philosophy.
Tantra means toll (Tra) of
development (Tan). Tantra is also
understood as an energetic philosophy
because explain about the energetic
physiology of the body and life.
Sankhya and Tantra philosophies are a
life expression of the Dravidian people.
And this Yoga expression of life is not
Bakti Yoga, devotional Yoga, at all.
Even, because it comes before Bakti
Yoga exists, as it is.
Yoga With Roisin And Friends
A deeper opening of the Asanas
Hatha Yoga Teacher and Yoga for Sport Teacher
I discovered Yoga 16 years ago and I immediately fell in
love with it. I deeply enjoy the practice of Yoga and I felt
the positive effect on my mind as well as on my body. I
believe Yoga has been an incredible tool to help calm my
mind, alleviate stress and improve my overall wellbeing.
My enthusiasm for yoga brought me to share the
benefits that Yoga can bring with other people and in
2007 I enrolled and successfully completed the Yoga
Teacher Diploma (Internationally Recognised School of
Yoga by the Yoga Alliance) and in 2010 I also successfully
completed the Advanced Yoga Teacher Diploma. I’m
also Yoga for Sport Teacher. I successfully completed in
February 2016 the Yoga for Sport Training Course with
YTI. I’m still a very enthusiastic yoga student attending
classes, workshops with amazing Hatha and Iyengar
teachers and I continue to explore different styles
and approaches to teaching. I enjoy teaching a form
of yoga with emphasis on detail, precision, alignment,
holding the postures longer. I often use yoga props to
aid students to challenge and deepen the postures. My
classes are reinvigorating, energizing and relaxing.

My name is Barbara, founder and primary
teacher at Yogaboann.
I have been fortunate enough to have been
practising and teaching Yoga and Pilates for 15
years now and run my own studio for almost
ten years . I am very grateful to all my students
,friends and teachers who continue with me
on this journey and as a student myself I will
continue to learn and always updating my
training which includes Ashtanga, Vinyasa ,
Hatha, Forrest ,Pilates and many more.
I also offer Teacher training at yogaboann and
hope this yoga community continues to grow
and share this wonderful practice.
Namaste.
Ross’s teaching aims to integrate the life
affirming principles found within the ancient
Chinese practices of Tai Chi and Chi Kung, with
the hectic lifestyles that we all lead today.
This fusion of the ancient and modern worlds
is attained through the mindful practice of Tai
Chi and Chi Kung on a daily basis. This inner
discipline results in the much sought after
Strong Body and Still Mind, as often described
by Tai Chi texts.
Class structure includes solo and partner
work where students are encouraged to work
together to mutual benefit. This results in an
informal, fun environment where every person
has an opportunity to learn from everyone else.
For those interested in the martial aspects of
the art, introduction to the practicalities of
postures and movements are included. Once
basic skills are attained, Tai Chi Chuan as a
fighting art can be explored. Evening and Day
classes available across Dublin.

B.A.(hons), PG Dip Counselling, PG Dip CBT
Karen’s Yin Yoga class to “unwind the spine”
is a beautiful way to restore and rejuvenate
the spine after a busy weekend of yogaing.
Yin yoga is a slowpaced, meditative style of
yoga, we hold each asana (pose) for a period
of time, usually around 35 minutes. In our
yin practice we are focusing on our joints,
applying moderate stress to the tendons, fascia
and ligaments of the joint with the aim of
increasing circulation and improving flexibility.
A yin class can bring a lovely balance to a
(usually yang) yoga practice, giving you time to
slow down softening, yielding and accepting
yourself just as you are. The classes can still
be quite challenging though, as holding a pose
for a long time takes both mental and physical
commitment. Karen runs various classes in
Dublin, as well as Yin she teaches Vinyasa,
Astanga and Pilates. She became a full time
teacher last year, taking the leap to leave her
software development career of 15 years and
Carmel Diviney is a Sound Healing Therapist
and Tutor with the Celtic School of Sound
Healing in Dublin. She is a Reiki Master,

Certified Soul Path Analysis Reader. Herbalist
and student of Botanical Sciences.
She is also an Author of a book about Tara and
a Sound Recording Artist who has produced
Sound Meditation CD’s for both adults and
children.
This year Carmel will perform the Closing
Ceremony at Moynalty Yoga Festival. Join us
to bring the Festival to an end 5.45 pm on
Sunday the 12th June with the powerful tones
and resonances of Himalayan and Crystal
Bowls, Solfeggio Pipes and Gongs as they
bring enlightenment, transformation, balance
and peace.

Born in Poland and settled in Bray, El Grey is an
act like no other. ESL Teacher and mum of 2 by
day and singer, songwriter & guitarist by night
she can’t stop hearing melodies in her head.
Described as an alternative fusion of quirky
electro-acoustic music, her songs are cinematic
in scope, some even feel like a form of modern
sound bath. There’s something very primal and
deep in how she channels her music. Music is
her meditation, her personal cosmos. Her latest
18 minute release “My names A, your names
Zed (el-F#)” has been described as streamof-consciousness odyssey - it is her mantra. El
Grey has a broad vocal range and distinctive
tone & singing style – with characteristic
vocal improvisations, where the vocals can
act as yet another creative instrument. A very
dreamy sound world you will never forget once
you’ve heard it. She plays the acoustic guitar
& ukulele. Accompanied by Chris Topher on
percussion and live electronics, her music takes
on another dimension. A very unusual, ethereal
sound that will give you goose bumps and keep
your mind intrigued and your ears alert.
Beside music, El Grey is interested in yoga,
meditation, spiritual enlightenment, philosophy,
cultural studies & languages. Chris Topher works
with people with special needs and he teaches
pottery/clay at Art Therapy Sessions.

As we evolve into our new physical and

DNA we are going trough enormous physical,
mental and emotional energetic shifts.
Healing yoga class allows you to be at home
with yourself. Gentle class using affirmations
with each posture that facilitates the release of
anxiety from the body and mind.
This class has also a little humour, for laughter
is healing.
Ascension Yoga Healing is a healing style
of energetic yoga therapy to help us move
through this process.
Laughter raises our spirits and gives us
permission to freely be ourselves. in this
modern age of technology I feel we don’t laugh
enough.
In this class we will work through each of
the chakras on the deepest cellular level. We
will put a strong emphasis on pranayama
techniques, mantra and meditation to purify,
cleanse and balance.

I will also be offering Reiki. Reflexology and

This Is Your House
House of Yoga is a Method and Practice for
collecting, co-ordinating and concentrating our
attention, aligning body and breathe with the
beats of a deep disco house music soundtrack.
As we align our own bodymindheartspirit
(your ‹house›) in rhythm with even breaths,
balanced movements and heartfelt intentions
in the ‹house› of sweet disco beats, we focus
our attention more effectively moment by
moment, breath by breath, beat by beat. Doing
this with others in the ‹house› of the class
means that we become a conscious collective
of co-ordinated rhythmic consciousnesses!
Reiki and Reflexology balances the mind body
and soul, releases stress anxiety and takes us
back to the essence of our true selves. E.F.T
means emotional freedom technique, which
involves tapping on different energy points in
the body which helps relieve anxiety, stress,
aches and pains. I feel privileged and honoured
to work with this beautiful energy.

motto being “to meet everybody exactly where
they’re at in life” As well as mainstream classes

followed by twenty minutes of healing. These
classes are ideal as a ‘starter’ for those feeling
shy about group sessions. Mia also offers

aim in teaching is to elevate the student to
their full potential, so they can shine as they
journey through life facing obstacles big and
small. “Learn to love and accept yourself,
embrace all that comes your way, and meet
difficulties as a new experience and open your
heart and mind to the joy of living fully.” My
class in Moynalty, I am excited this year to be
working with a new partner and musician Clive
Williams. I will teach a kriya with live music
accompaniment and work with chant and
meditation also.
This year I am pleased to be offering Lomi Lomi
bodywork also.
Lomi Lomi Nui
Ancient Kahuna Bodywork
Lomi lomi translates as massage and Nui
as expansive or great. This style of massage
or bodywork was practised in the temples
in ancient prepolynesian Hawaii. The work
embodies the Sacred spirituality of these
people. Lomi Lomi Nui has wonderful
therapeutic effects but it also moves one into
a place of a deeper knowing of who you are
and of your path in this life. It lends itself to
finding greater clarity. It is a wonderful tool for
transformation.
One of the aims of Lomi Lomi Nui is a
homecoming to our true and natural selves
beyond our stories and experiences. Here, we
find ourselves connected to nature and spirit, a
marriage to all that is. We let go of guards and
defences, opening up to knowing our deepest
self and allowing us to move forward in ease
and grace.

Introduction to Essential Oils
Kids Yoga – ‘Trip to the Jungle’
I have been practicing Iyengar yoga for many
years and did the Kids Yoga training with
Rainbow Kids Yoga in 2013. I enjoy it so much
and love passing my own love of yoga onto
children. I am constantly hearing stories of kids
demonstrating yoga to their parents at home.
Suzanne Markey
In my classes, I try to have a mix of games,
yoga and mindfulness. I feel really passionate
about planting the seeds of resilience and good
practice for years to come.
At the Moynalty festival my class would focus
on going to the jungle to regrow the trees and
look for animals. There can be so many poses
involved in preparing to go, getting there,
growing trees and being animals.
SUZANNE MARKEY
My name is Suzanne Markey and I am a

people change their lives to live a healthier,
more positive life.

ColoursofYogaSimone (Facebook)
I am currently a yoga student in YTTC and I am
loving the transformational effect it has on my
life. Introducing yoga to people I train in 121
Fitness for the first time, I can see how it can
improve performance and mindset for people
who are beginning exercise or at advanced
stages.
I emphasise the importance of balance. Heavy
exercise and sports can take its toll on the body
and mind alike. I work with people to help them
become aware of the breath, more mobile,
stronger in certain areas of the body, and learn
to relax and calm the body and mind through
breath and meditation.
I am teaching beginner’s yoga at Yoga with
Roisin in Navan and a mobility class in 121
Fitness each week.
Along my wellness journey I discovered pure
essential oils. Up until that point I had no idea
that there were different grades of essential
oil or the huge impact they can have on your
wellbeing when you learn how to use them
correctly. There are many sources of pure oils
out there. I found Doterra and they are the oils
I will demonstrate at the workshop. I›ll show
you the 10 most commonly used oils in my
home, how I use them and how to source your
own oils with confidence that they are pure.
SIMONE MESCHNIG
I became interested in yoga at the age of 17 and
when I graduated from college at 21, I travelled
to Australia, Byron Bay where the yoga culture
here sparked a passion for the life yoga brings.
Simone Meschnig
Earlier this year I worked on putting together
a website where I try to encompass all I offer
so that I can help other people to make similar
changes in their own lives to work towards
increased wellness.
Have a look at www.wellnessconnemara.com
and please get in touch via the Contact form on
the site. I’d love to hear from you.
A good warm up to start, some silly games and
then svasana at the end would make a great
class. I have done this class before at the Diwali
festival with a large group and it went down
really well. (My friend Ann Marie Brennan has
been accepted to teach at Moynalty and has
said she will be available to help me out also, we
have run kids yoga workshops together before.)
Sarah Mc Loughlin
I am a Kundalini Yoga teacher and Wellness

work towards a more holistic lifestyle.

Fusion of the Best of Kundalini
Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga
I trained with the Himalayan Yoga centre which
is an established international leader in the
field of yoga and training, in India and gained
my RYS 200 hour Diploma. The Series takes
you through the modified Ashtanga yoga series
with a strong focus on correct alignment. Each
class begins with a short opening savasana and
some Pranayama followed by warm ups to get
you energized. We then move to practicing
standing, seated, lying and finishing Asanas. All
classes finish with a hearty savasana ensuring
you leave feeling entirely blissed out and
completely energized. The practice of Ashtanga
Yoga is an ancient and powerful discipline
for cultivating physical, mental and spiritual
health. Progressive techniques of breath,
posture and movement, cleanse, stretch and
strengthen the body as well as focus and calm
the mind. A deeper experience of the self
becomes possible through consistent practice.

Your Voice Can Heal
Blindfold Yoga Class
In this workshop, Lucia invites you to discover
your own healing voice, learning how our
voice gets us in touch with our most authentic
self and supports us in our journey to selfremembrance and self-love. Using the gifts of
own soul’s voice, mantra, movement, song and
poetry you will be gently guided through an
exploration of your deepest, truest nature.
Yoga by its very nature is a ‘work-in’ and not a
‘work-out’, a set of disciplines brought together
to bring about yoga (Union) of the self. It is not
something we ‘Do’; it is something we ‘Practice’.
By shutting off the sense of sight we need
to heighten our internal body awareness for
movement and connectivity. This is withdrawing
the senses, Pratyahara one of the limbs of yoga.
So, if you’ve never practiced yoga blindfolded
come along and do something today that you’ve
never done before. If you have, then re-connect
through this practice. I am a 500hr accredited
teacher, along with 3yr continuous assessment
through the Yoga Society Ireland and teaching
for approximately 7 years but every class is
different and full of great teachers themselves.
Lucia stumbled unexpectedly into voice
and movement and poetry as a way of self
exploration and healing in 2005. From there,
Lucia trained with Chloe Goodchild of The
Naked Voice and graduated as a Naked Voice
Facilitator March 2012. The Naked Voice (www.
thenakedvoice.com) provides an inspiring
learning environment called the ‘singing fields’
in which everyone’s voice is heard and honoured.
It is a meeting place to sound, sing and move,
beyond the boundaries of creed and culture. In
2013 Lucia studied with The College of Sound
Healing and qualified as a Sound Healing
Practictioner, and as a Tutor in 2015. Having
developed a passion for poetry through her work
with Kim Rosen, Lucia is currently a member of
Kim’s Poetry Depths Mystery School both as an
assistant and a participant (www.kimrosen.net).
Lucia runs a monthly voice work group, regular
one day and weekend workshops as well as
one-to-one Naked Voice, Sound Healing and
Poetry treatments. Lucia is passionate about
voice, movement and poetry as a means to
inspire, transform and heal as it energises
and awakens your body, heart and mind.
In her workshops, we explore simple yet
profound practices that are rooted in a deep

Nam Sangat Singh aka James Madden, B.E.,

Yogi Bhajan, at Surya Yoga Studio, Dublin 6.
Nam Sangat Singh is the founder and owner of
this yoga, meditation and healing centre. Nam
Sangat Singh has practiced various forms of
yoga since 1995. He started practicing Kundalini
Yoga in 2005 and did his Level 1, Teacher
Training with International School of Kundalini
Yoga - see http://www.i-sky.net, in 2007/08.
James was awarded a Level One Instructor,
Certificate of Training by The Kundalini Research
Institute. He has been teaching Kundalini Yoga
regularly since 2009. He is continuing to study
for Level 2 Certification as a Kundalini Yoga
teacher. Nam Sangat Singh is also a Level
1, Certified Sat Nam Rasayan Healer and is
presently studying for Level 2 Certification.
Mukhande Kaur (Áine Brosnan) grew up in
Mullingar but now lives in Kerry. She began
practicing yoga in the 1980’s trying various styles
of yoga movement and dance. She discovered
kundalini yoga in 2006 and was instantly
inspired by the holistic nature of this practice
which touches all parts of our being. Apart from
all the obvious benefits of yoga this practice
can allow us to really vibrate in harmony with
our higher selves and through developing our
intuition we can develop our capacity to sense
our connectedness with everything. By being
connected with our breath we can change the
chemistry of our bodies bringing about healing
and change on many levels.
Nam Sangat Singh teaches Kundalini Yoga as
taught by Yogi Bhajan. Kundalini Yoga classes
incorporate the use of mantra (sound), asana
(yoga postures), pranayama (breathing),
mudras (hand positions), bandhas (energy
locks), relaxation and meditation to achieve a
wonderful state of wellbeing. Kundalini Yoga
will help to maintain the strength and flexibility
of one’s body and strengthen one’s nervous and
glandular systems. Kundalini Yoga is a process
that takes us beyond the mind to where we can
follow our hearts.
Mukhande has been teaching kundalini yoga
since 2009 she is also a sat nam rasayan healer
training under Harkirat kaur and Guru Dev.
She is also a shamanic practitioner trained by
Amantha Murphy of the way of the Seabhean,
a Marriage Officiant with the Spiritual Union of
Ireland and a freelance Archaeologist.
GRACE TEMPANY
At the festival she will teach a class ‘the essence
of self’. By guiding the pranic life force through
the body particularly to the heart we can open
the heart to give and receive love. By developing
the state of true compassion we can know our
true essence. This true essence can be clouded
over by the scars and disappointments of life;
through energetic exercises and the use of
pranayama we can harness this prana to open
up the possibility to feel the unlimited self and
the broader reality of which we are a part of.
Grace›s own personal approach to yin yoga is
a perfect marriage of anatomy and awareness.
While firmly rooted in functional yoga with
particular attention paid to skeletal variations,
her teaching is infused with mindfulness
techniques which can be used as a preparation
for meditation. She loves how empowering
and transformative sitting in stillness with
a certain amount of discomfort can be, and
sees the practice as a magical celebration of
each individual body and all its idiosyncrasies.
Yinside is where the magic happens.
In addition to teaching yoga Grace is a
secondary-school teacher of French and
Music. Preparing playlists for her yin classes
is something she devotes a truly ridiculous
amount of time to, and she really hopes
your yin yoga class will be a beautiful aural
experience too.
CAROLINE FLAVIN
A lover of words, the sacred poetry of Rumi,
Zen poetry and haiku, Caroline gives regular
sound healing baths in Dervish, Dublin.
She ran a women’s drumming circle for three
years in Cork and has collaborated with drum
