ince it was founded in 1970, Middlesex Community College has focused on
the future of education. Today, it is one of the largest community colleges
in Massachusetts, with a 200-acre campus in Bedford and a vibrant campus in
the heart of downtown Lowell.
The Middlesex Community College Foundation was created to ensure that
MCC maintains its position as a recognized educational leader, as well as an
innovative community partner, a provider of creative international initiatives,
and an agent for regional economic growth and workforce development.
The work of the MCC Foundation would not be possible without the help of
committed individuals, dedicated community partners and forward-thinking
corporations who believe in the college and its mission. We welcome your

The MCC Annual Fund provides direct financial support to college programs and services that broaden educational
opportunities and experiences for students. MCC faculty and staff are invited annually to submit proposals for grants to
fund projects, activities or equipment not funded through the regular college budget process. The 2011 grant allocations

The MCCF offers a variety of scholarships to
current Middlesex students to help them reach
their educational goals.

Scholarship - $500
To assist a nursing student who is a single mother.

To assist a student who demonstrates excellence
and exceptional promise in the Humanities and
Social Sciences.

To assist an African-American or African student

Support Staff Scholarship - $300 to $500
To assist a nontraditional adult learner who has
been out of the academic setting for an extended
period either due to family considerations or is
seeking job training to reenter the workforce.

To provide a financial stipend to a student enrolled
in the Technical Writing Certificate Program which
will enable the individual to acquire the skills
needed to succeed in today’s knowledge-based
economy.

Scholarship - $500
To assist a student pursuing a degree in mental
health and, in particular, the treatment of alcohol/
substance abuse.
Collegiate TRIO Programs
To assist two deserving collegiate TRIO participants
(one from the Student Success Program and one
from the Program for Student Achievement) in
pursuing an associate degree and transferring to
a four year institution.

Billerica, Boxford, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Dracut,

Thomas O’Mahony “Spirit of Excellence
Award”- $1,000
To assist a student pursuing a business-related
associate degree.
Securitas Security Scholarship - $1,000
Kim Forte Memorial Scholarship - $750
To assist a student pursuing a dental assisting
degree at Middlesex Community College.
To recognize the accomplishments of two students
who demonstrate both a commitment to academics
and public safety by pursuing a career in law
enforcement.
External Scholarships
The following scholarships are offered by
external organizations and foundations to help
students with tuition and fees.
New England Chapter of the
Parenteral Drug Association
Applicants must be active members of the
Parenteral Drug Association, and have completed
a minimum of two semesters of study at MCC.
Selection is based on scholastic excellence and
participation in chapter activities.
The Massachusetts Hospital Association
(MHA) and MHA Insurance Agency
Scholarship
This annual scholarship is funded by the MHA
Insurance Agency in the amount of $2,500. It is
available to current students, those currently
working in allied health care roles or those with
previous employment in these roles.
Early Childhood Educators Scholarship
The scholarship is designed to provide financial
assistance for currently employed early childhood
and out of school time educators and providers who
enroll in an associate or bachelor’s degree program
in Early Childhood Education or related programs.

ince it was founded in 1970, Middlesex Community College has focused on
the future of education. Today, it is one of the largest community colleges
in Massachusetts, with a 200-acre campus in Bedford and a vibrant campus in
the heart of downtown Lowell.
The Middlesex Community College Foundation was created to ensure that
MCC maintains its position as a recognized educational leader, as well as an
innovative community partner, a provider of creative international initiatives,
and an agent for regional economic growth and workforce development.

The MCC Annual Fund provides direct financial support to college programs and services that broaden
educational opportunities and experiences for students. MCC faculty and staff are invited annually to
submit proposals for grants to fund projects, activities or equipment not funded through the regular

ince it was founded in 1970, Middlesex Community College has focused on the future
of education. Today, it is one of the largest community colleges in Massachusetts, with a
200-acre campus in Bedford and a vibrant campus in the heart of downtown Lowell.
The Middlesex Community College Foundation was created to ensure that MCC maintains
its position as a recognized educational leader, as well as an innovative community partner, a
provider of creative international initiatives, and an agent for regional economic growth and
workforce development.
The work of the MCC Foundation would not be possible without the help of committed

broaden educational opportunities and experiences for students. MCC faculty and staff are invited
