WORLD SNOWBOARD DAY ?
SNOW, SPORTS, AND LOT OF FUN !
World Snowboard Day is a one-day event which offers
the opportunity to discover and celebrate, for free,
snowboarding as a sport and culture across the world’s
summits.
It allows federations, brands, resorts, snowboard schools,
clubs, shops, associations, and riders to organize their
own event and bring together the snowboard community
to enjoy snowboard-related activities.
This event receives support from international
organizations such as Outdoor Sports Valley (OSV), the
World Snowboard Federation (WSF), and Oz Conseil in
Europe, SnowSports Industries America (SIA) in North
America, and CorePower Asia in Asia.

in 2012 This
Snowboard Day 2012. She truly enjoyed actively helping to develop the event,
especially for two major issues that she holds dear: women’s snowboarding
and safety when riding in the backcountry.

the ambassador for the 8 edition of World Snowboard Day. This mountain enthusiast in 2013

WANG LEI
Wang Lei is well
known as one of
snowboarding’s
pioneers
in
China. Using his charismatic style,
Wang Lei continues to push his
limits as well as encourage the
people around him to push their
own, no matter what the challenge.
He dedicates himself to growing
snowboarding in China using his
experience, talent, network, and
passion for extreme sports. This is
why he enthusastically agreed to be
the 2015 WSD ambassador for Asia.

Gian Simmen
Swiss rider Gian
Simmen is the
official 2015 WSD
ambassador
for Europe, and yet another
snowboarding legend. During the
1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano,
where snowboard halfpipe made
its debut as an Olympic event,
Gian became the first snowboard
halfpipe Olympic gold medalist.
Over 15 years after his victory, he
continues to shred hard and inspire
riders throughout the snowboard
community.

Rob Kingwill is a
pro snowboarder
from
Jackson
Hole, WY, who has
has enjoyed an extremely successful
career as a halfpipe competitor,
winning the US Open and over 20
World Cup podiums and US Grand
Prixs. He has medals from the X-Games
to the Gravity Games, by way of the
World Championships, and was on
the US Snowboard team for 8 years.
The official 2015 WSD ambassador
for the Americas, he also founded the
nonprofit The Futurepositiv Project,
which focuses on activating youth in
the outdoors through snowboarding.

For 9 years, World Snowboard Day has united the key
players from the international snowboard community.
The number of federations, brands, snowboard schools,
resorts, clubs, shops, associations, and riders organizing
their very own WSD event has increased year after year.

snowboarding!
Since 2006, World Snowboard Day has been a unique
opportunity for the international snowboard community to
promote the sport and its unique subculture by providing

activities for free.
The 10th edition of WSD will take place on December 20,
2015, and will once again bring together all the key players
from the international snowboard scene.

The World Snowboard Federation was created in 2002 by delegates in
the snowboarding community from 14 countries. The WSF is the only
