A few modifications set this saddle
apart, including extra-wide fenders,
special cutouts in the skirt for better
contact with the horse and an easy-access

Jade Corkill won his
first world championship in
December aboard a Best Ever

Ropers respect Larry Coats as a
saddle maker not only for the
37 years he’s invested in the
industry, but also because he’s
a team roper himself. Coats’
saddles have a reputation
for fitting a horse—and he’s

“I have a new tree that’s
been out about eight months
