GOALS
1 – Education: The WGA will be an important source of education for
ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers related to glaucoma.

and recognition of glaucoma will increase.
4 – Impact in Developing Countries: The resources of the global
glaucoma community – including individuals, member societies,
industry, governments, NGOs and patients – will be integrated and

countries.

CHALLENGE
WHILE THIS ALL FEELS VERY GOOD FOR ORGANIZERS AND PARTICIPANTS …
Multitude of activities in a multitude of countries with:
no outcome measures
no apparent change in proportion of glaucoma patients undiagnosed
no apparent change in adherence / persistence with management
One of the Committee’s goals is to try to evolve outcome measures
This would highlight effective strategies and allow improvement in
other approaches

The posters will be displayed in the area per topic. A poster walk moderator walks with interested delegates
along the poster panels within their poster session topic.
Per poster, the author has a 1-minute presentation and 2 minutes for discussion. This setting creates a lively
interaction between poster authors and interested delegates while snacks and drinks will be served.
The moderators can be recognized by a cap in WGC colors. They will receive this cap in their registration kit.

• Gonioscopy photographs will be submitted via an online portal
• A special committee will select the best photographs
• The selected photographs will be on display in a designated area of
