Awards
2015
The Hive Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards 2015 will celebrate the outstanding
achievements of the borough’s businesses.
It will provide an inspirational platform for success and aspiration.
Sponsoring the awards offers a fantastic opportunity to position your brand alongside a
prestigious, high-profile and comprehensively marketed event.
The awards will receive support from the media before and after the event. There will be leafleting
and advertising campaigns for the awards.
Online, we will have a fixed website presence, featuring sponsor branding and click-throughs, and
through which entrants will take part and communicate with the awards. There will also be a social
media campaign and email marketing.
As a sponsor, your brand will benefit from this extensive marketing campaign and an opportunity
to meet fellow sponsors, judges and have face-to-face contact with some of the best businesses
in the borough.
We will also provide sponsors and partners with a marketing toolkit to help them get the most from
sponsoring and help them encourage others to get involved.
You’ll also be invited to join a judging panel made up of sponsors, business leaders and
invited experts.
A post-awards celebration will provide an outstanding opportunity for winners and sponsors

FETTLE EVENTS – THE EVENT MANAGERS
Blue-chip projects include the annual Red Rose Awards, a county wide-event which attracted 1,160 guests
in 2014 and won the national PPA Connect Award for Business Awards Event of the Year.
We also devised, managed, directed and delivered the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2013 which saw, for
the first time, Blackburn Cathedral used as the venue for a significant business event. This was the most
successful awards event in the history of it being staged.
Other work includes managing Hotpots For Hotshots, Lancashire’s most successful paid-for networking
event which attracts 80-100 at each of its meetings.
Fettle also manages 18 think-tank business meetings per year and stages larger quarterly business
gatherings.
In the past, it has delivered celebration events on behalf of Lancashire County Council and the Local
Enterprise Growth Initiative and also managed the Simon Garner Testimonial which attracted a then
record attendance for a testimonial at Ewood Park of nearly 14,000.
Other recent events delivered include the first ever Lancashire Health Expo.
JUDGES COMMENTS FROM PPA CONNECT AWARDS ENTRY
“The judges loved the sound of this so much that they really wanted to be there! Fast-paced, slick and
highly-engaging, this event is incredibly well put together, with a great philosophy, and a very impressive
sponsorship input”
TESTIMONIALS FOR RED ROSE AWARDS
“Sponsorship of the awards gives us a fantastic opportunity for our brand to reach thousands of business
people in the area – not only at the exciting awards event itself, but through the build up to the big night,
through traditional media, online and social channels.” Emma Long, Sales and Marketing Director of Bizspace
“The Red Rose Awards continues to be the premier business event in the county and the first date to
put in your diary! It’s a privilege to be able to support an event which showcases the successs of so many
businesses in Lanacshire.“ Gavin Wright, Forbes
