Two Small Pieces of Glass (3rd-adult)— Witness the invention & development of the telescope.
Oasis in Space (3rd-adult)— Travel through the solar system on a search for water.
Black Holes (6th-adult)— Explore black holes, nature’s biggest mystery.
Fractal Explorations (9th-adult)—An introduction to fractal geometry & fractals in nature.
Season of Light (all ages)— Explore the seasons, the “Star of Bethlehem,” & winter solstice traditions.
Live Presentations (Live presentations narrated by Thronateeska’s staff)
 My Sky (K-2nd)— Day and night sky, gravity, stars, planetary motion, & the constellations.
 Astronomy 101 (4th-6th)— Planets, eclipses, lunar phases, comets, asteroids, meteors, a brief history of astronomy, &
scientific theories.

Museum Programs





Science Museum Tour (all ages)— Have a guide take you through the entire museum, explain exhibits, and answer any
questions you may have. Each tour is adapted to fit the age group of your students.
Science Museum Scavenger Hunt (3rd-7th)— Let your students explore the science museum on their own or with a buddy. Each
student will receive a scavenger hunt sheet full of questions and things to do. A guide will be available to answer questions and
help your students if they need a hint. Answer keys will be made available for teachers.
Weather with Fox 31 (all ages)— Learn about the weather with one of WFXL Fox 31’s real
WEATHER
meteorologists in our Science Museum meteorology exhibit. Fun, engaging, and age-appropriate,

students will learn about what meteorologists are, what they do, and some of the basics of weather
with Q&A. ***Please allow at least two weeks for scheduling.***
Guided History & Mapping Museum Tour, & Primary Sources Program (5th-adult)— Learn about how historians “do” history by
learning how to identify primary sources, and take a guided tour of our History Museum and Georgia Museum of Surveying &
Mapping, all in one program!
Pollywogs & Puddles (Pre-K)— Participate with your students in a topical lesson that features sorting, counting, and more.
Receive a take home activity, too! This program is also available as a joint program with the Flint RiverQuarium.

Have two field trips in one! Choose from our “Two for One” joint field trips for K-12th grade, or a “Pollywogs & Puddles”
Pre-K combo program. Visit Thronateeska and the RiverQuarium on the same day, and let us streamline your visit and work

Policies
This form must be completed and returned to Thronateeska at least 36 hours before your visit to avoid the possible loss of your reservation.
Groups may schedule for any time during business hours, 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday or 10:00am-4:00pm Saturday. Additional charges will apply for a
visit during non-business hours.
For every 10 paid students, 1 adult is admitted free. Additional adults (teachers, chaperones, and guardians) will be charged the same rate as students, plus
sales tax (if applicable). Bus drivers are free.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled visit. Groups arriving more than 15 minutes after their scheduled visit time are subject to cancellation.
Thronateeska Heritage Center strives to meet the needs of all of our visitors. For special arrangements, please call ahead.
Tax exempt groups must file a GA Sales Tax ST-5 form with Thronateeska and pay with an official check or charge card to not be charged sales tax. Payments
made by personal check, charge card, or cash must be charged GA Sales Tax. Out of state groups are not exempt from GA Sales Tax.
Chaperones are expected to play an active role in participating with the group and helping maintain order. Groups may be dismissed without reimbursement
for behavior deemed disruptive or inappropriate by Thronateeska Heritage Center. We want your visit to be fun and educational. Please do not spoil your visit
with poor behavior!
