There will be crafts, white elephant, baked goods, hot
meals and more!
Also for sale during the craft fair will be items such as
chairs, beds, night stands, air conditioners, etc. These
items can be viewed and purchase at the old nursing
home building.
Friends of Mountain View Fundraiser
Get your tickets now for this beautiful train made of twelve different
kinds of wood by Don Litchko. Tickets are $5, or 5 for $20 and will
be drawn just in time for Christmas on December 16th.

Attention photographers of all levels of ability.
Mountain View is having a photo contest and is looking
for photos of scenery in Carroll County to be displayed in
our elevator lobbies.

Bereavement Support Groups
Mid-October—November 2011 in Wolfeboro NH
January—February 2012 in Laconia and Center Harbor NH
Each group consists of a series of 1 1/2 hour meetings held for 6 weeks.
The purpose of the Support Group is to give people the opportunity to learn about the
grief process, discuss their own particular ways of copying with loss, and to gain the
support of others in safe and caring ways. Although grief is a unique experience through
which each person finds his or her own way, there are common threads we all share when
facing this experience.

Festival of Trees
Mountain View Community will again be represented in “The Festival of Trees”. The festival is held at the Wright Museum in Wolfeboro and is open to the public on Saturdays,
December 10th and 17th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
and Sundays, December 11th and 18th from 12
p.m. to3 p.m. Please be sure to come and
check it out!

Donations Needed
We are still in need your help! Now that we are all settling in, we are
anxious to start doing some baking with the residents in our new
kitchens. The cupboards are bare! We are looking for baking wares.
You could donate gently used ones or purchase new. We ask that before doing so, you either call or stop by the front desk and talk to
Lisa. She will be able to tell you specifically what is needed and how
many. This will help us ensure that everyone doesn’t all donate the
same item.

The flu is a contagious respiratory illness
caused by influenza viruses. It can cause
mild to severe illness. The main way that
influenza viruses are thought to spread is
from person-to-person in respiratory droplets of coughs and sneezes. Be sure to
continue proper hand washing and cover
up when you cough and/or sneeze.

Woman’s Bible Study
Starting November 14th the Woman’s Bible study will be looking at the book of Revelations
written by the apostle John. Revelations is a warning to Christian who have grown apathetic
and an encouragement to those who are faithfully enduring the struggles in this world. It reassures us that good will triumph over evil, gives us hope as we face difficult times, and gives
guidance when we are wavering in our faith. Christ’s message to the church is a message of
hope for all believers in every generation.
Please join us Mondays in the multi-purpose room at 3:30. If you would like to change the
day and time we can discuss it.
