Library Foundation Launches
New Donation Website
The all-new Plainfield Public Library Foundation website is now live.
Offering online donation options, FAQs and a guide to tax-wise giving,
the redesigned site has a whole new look. You can find it directly at
“http://www.plainfieldlibraryfoundation.org” or via the Library’s website by
clicking the “Library Info” button and then choosing the “Support Us” tab.
Donation opportunities abound. If you want to see your name (or a loved
one’s) on the Balloons and Blocks Donor Wall in the lower level lobby, forms
are available on the Donor Wall page. The Current Needs List page highlights
Library needs for today and the future. Any donation to help meet any Current
Need listed is appreciated! Click “Donate Now” on the right side of any
Foundation site screen to reach the secure payment gateway. Transactions on
the site are fully protected with encryption and the Foundation does not share
or sell information about its donors. Donors may choose to have donations
acknowledged on the Recent Donors list or remain anonymous.
The Plainfield Public Library Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization
supporting the mission of the Plainfield Public Library. It is volunteer-led with
minimal overhead and administrative costs, allowing the Library to receive
maximum benefit from every donation. Your generous donations allow the
Plainfield Public Library Foundation to help the Plainfield Public Library District
achieve its mission: Educate – Captivate – Connect.
For more information about the Library Foundation, please contact Library Director
Julie M. Milavec at 815-439-2874 or jmmilavec@plainfieldpubliclibrary.org.

Volunteer
Do you jealously guard your free time? We thought so, because we do too. Everyone’s time is
important. We think, however, you may be interested in donating just five to seven hours this
year to the Friends team. We’re betting you’ll meet new people and have fun, too. The Friends
give back to the community by providing the Library with services and products that are not
included in the Library’s regular budget. Contact friends@plainfieldpubliclibrary.org to see how
you can make a difference or call Anita at the Library at 815-436-6639, ext. 240 to find out more
about the Friends.
