Communication
The Battle of Gettysburg and its place in American history make it an exceptional story to use
as context for necessary leadership skills in modern organizations. Decisions made in business
can often take months or years to demonstrate results. On the battlefield, however, decisions
that the leaders at Gettysburg made took mere minutes to show their consequences. When
studying the three day battle, it becomes clear that the immediate and dramatic
consequences made at Gettysburg perfectly encapsulate traits needed to make the people in
your organization more effective.
