to be an enjoyable and memorable year. Our municipal employees and
local business owners have been working diligently to ensure that your
visit will be as exciting (or relaxing) as you wish. In short, the entire “Sea
Isle Family” is looking forward to having you with us.
This handy Visitors Guide is chock-full of useful information. In addition to our calendar of events and details regarding the many activities
being offered in 2016, you’ll also find info about our beaches and other
public facilities, as well as this year’s concert and movie schedules, a business listing, summer camp information and much more. Nonetheless,
if you have any questions along the way, please phone or stop by our
Welcome Center on JFK Boulevard, where you can learn everything you
need to know about Sea Isle City. Then, be certain to tour the Dealy Field
Recreation Complex, where you can play tennis, shoot hoops, skateboard,
and frolic with the kids in a state-of-the-art playground. Also, when you’re
near the 44th Street Beach, pay a visit to the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol Headquarters, where you can speak with the hardest-working lifeguards at the
Jersey Shore. The Beach Patrol is staffed by seasoned professionals, who
will be more than happy to speak with you about beach safety and the
special events they host each summer.
I hope you are looking forward to spending time on the beach,
because Sea Isle’s shoreline is a sandy, picturesque oasis that’s as expansive as it is inviting. If you love being on the water, our ocean, back bays
and wetlands are waiting to be explored. And, if you are into festivals, free
concerts, weekly farmers markets, guided beach tours, great restaurants
and exciting nightlife, you’ve definitely come to the right place. As if all
that weren’t enough, our island is also a sportsman’s paradise, where you
can fish, surf, paddleboard, bird-watch and parasail. Without a doubt, Sea

Insurance Required
In order to operate a sailboat on a Sea Isle City beach, an owner is
required to obtain a permit from the records department at the
police station. The decal, issued during the licensing process,
must be displayed on the right front hull of the vessel. No launching of
motorized boats or personal watercraft from any beach.

A life jacket must be worn at all times.
Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult in a two-seat kayak.
Kayaks must stay 50 feet away from swimmers and rock jetties.
Only one person is permitted per single-seat kayak.
No more than two people are permitted per double-seat kayak.
Entering or exiting the water and riding waves can be done only on designated kayaking beaches.
Jumping off a kayak beyond the breaking waves is prohibited.
Stay within 1/4 mile of the shoreline.
Respect and consider the safety of other kayakers when riding waves.

Two volleyball nets are the maximum permitted per volleyball beach.
Nets are not provided on volleyball beaches.
*Only poles are provided on these beaches.
POLICIES AND REGULATIONS
• A beach curfew is in effect from 10pm to 6am during the months of May through September.
• Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in all public areas.
• Dogs are not allowed on the beaches, beach approaches or Promenade
from May 1 to September 30. Dogs must be licensed, leashed (not
longer than 6 feet), curbed at all times and feces must be removed.
• Fires, glass bottles and picnics are prohibited on all Sea Isle City beaches.
• From October through March you may drive a permitted vehicle on the
beach. Beach vehicle permits are available from the records department at the police station.

Required for ALL BEACHES from Memorial Day Weekend
to Labor Day, 9am to 5pm. Tags are required for everyone
12 years and older and can be purchased on the beach.

Military personnel and Veterans of the following branches of service:

lid not to exceed 50 lbs. or a 35-gallon can curbside prior to 6am of your

• No vehicles, bicycles, inline skates, skateboards, etc., are
permitted on the courts.
• Tennis privileges may be revoked for violations of any rule.

All skaters must wear non-skid shoes/sneakers.
Know your abilities and skate at your own risk.

Do not proceed down a ramp until clear of other skaters.
Skaters under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Non-skaters are not permitted inside the fenced area of the facility
except a supervising responsible adult for a child under the age of 12.
Spectators shall sit in designated areas only.
No alcohol, beverages or food permitted.
Any person violating these rules will be required to leave immediately and may be suspended from future use.
