Minnesota Union Women`s Retreat
“Moving Forward Together” Minnesota Union Women’s Retreat Minnesota workers are mobilizing like never before. Unions are organizing in a variety of industries, including home health care, child care and many others. Campaigns like the “Fight for $15” are energizing workers and changing the public debate. Unions joined with other organizations in coalitions to raise Minnesota’s minimum wage and win legislative approval of the Women’s Economic Security Act. In the workplace and at the polls, workers continue to advocate for their rights and for good, family-supporting jobs. “Moving Forward Together” April 22-24, 2015 Women are at the forefront of all these struggles. More than ever, it’s important that women bring their unique perspective and experience to the many efforts to improve workplaces, unions and communities. The Union Women’s Retreat provides the opportunity to analyze the challenges before us and build the confidence and skills to address them.
