It peaked during the third quarter due to festive months. Independent retailers had the maximum share of 89%, followed by display retail shops and other retail categories with 11% and 0.2% share, respectively. Closest competitor, competitor Kalaignar TV (8 (8.6% 6% market share), share) was launched last year by relatives of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. More than 3,000 correspondents were interviewed. Colors has reached the top spot with a viewership share of 21.9%, with Star Plus and Zee TV following with 17.1% and 13.1% respectively. In week 46, all top 5 programmes were on CNBC– TV18. UTVi’s market share has shown slight improvement. The viewership gap between CNBC Awaaz and Zee Business has started narrowing.
