The Four Seasons
Does it get any better than this? Our
province experiences four distinct
seasons. Autumn offers awe-inspiring
red and gold colours with fall-foliage
tours, the brilliant reds of the peat bogs
on the Acadian Peninsula, and lively
festivals and eclectic farmers’ markets.
Let it snow! See glistening white
landscapes as you snowmobile, ice
skate, snowshoe, ice-fish or crosscountry and downhill ski. Experience
snowboarding, festivals, enjoy sleigh
rides, hot chocolate and cosy inns.
Spring then brings the promise of
warmth and renewal. Sap running,
sugaring off, fiddleheading, the first
sighting of a robin and thoughts of lazy,
hazy days of summer come to mind.
Close your eyes and listen to the waves
along the shore, hear children squealing
as they see a whale, enjoy lobster boils,
picnics, gardens, music, dancing,
beachcombing and festivals. We are
truly blessed in our province to have four
seasons and the wonderful things
associated with each cyclical change.
Signature Golf Courses
• The Kingswood Golf Course in
Fredericton was designed by awardwinning architects Darrell Huxham and
Graham Cooke and offers a 9-m (30-ft.)
waterfall, rock croppings, pot bunkers
and marshlands.
• Royal Oaks Estates & Golf Club,
Moncton, was designed by worldrenowned U.S. Open architect Rees
Jones. This parkland European linkstyle design features a landscape of
large lakes surrounded by rolling dunes
complemented by turf conditions which
rival the best in the world.
• The Fairmont Algonquin, St. Andrews
by-the-Sea, has tested golfer’s skills for
over 100 years. In 1999, award-winning
architect Thomas McBroom redesigned
the course which takes full advantage
of its location on the shores of
Passamaquoddy Bay and especially
beautiful are the ocean-front sequence
of holes on the back nine.
• The Fox Creek Golf Club course
combines architectural design and
natural beauty, breathtaking landscapes
and luscious greenery right in the heart
of the city of Dieppe. Designed by
Canadian architect Graham Cooke,
this 18-hole championship course has
challenging greens, link-style fairways,
pristine lakes and impressive tree lines
that come together seamlessly.
