Plans and programs don’t get things done. Only people get things done.” As I am in awe by all that our Foundation accomplishes, it is because of our members (people) and non-member donors who are committed, passionate and believe in our Foundation. Each of our members and non-member donors should feel great pride in our Foundation receiving the Outstanding Grant Making Foundation Award for 2012. Each of you contributed in some way so that we may have an impact on children with disabilities, seniors who need transportation to medical appointments, working families who have no health insurance and need care, and more. Through our grant program we help make our community safer, healthier and more compassionate. And that is what philanthropy is all about: touching and changing lives. So I look forward to seeing you at our October 23rd Membership Meeting to celebrate our achievements, learn something new and have fun being with your colleagues and friends.
