Ador and Digatron: An Indo-German success story
On May 10th 2013, the two companies
Ador Powertron and Digatron founded a
joint venture in Pune India.
With this partnership, both companies
complement their offering by delivering
sophisticated Power Electronic test
equipment and Formation rectifiers.
Ador Powertron ltd, is a part of ADOR group of
companies, of which ADOR WELDING LTD (formerly
Advani Oerlikon ltd) is the flagship company. Apart from
its Core Welding Equipment & consumables business, the
company catered to growing Power electronic market
specialising in High Voltage Rectifier for Electrostatic
precipitator & High Current customized rectifier for
Industrial applications. Advani Oerlikon then saw the
opportunity to cater to Battery Formation Rectifier &
Chargers for Battery Manufacturers in India & Indian Subcontinent.
Offering the computer-controlled Digatron MicroForm
2000, with a dedicated software, Ador changed the way
batteries were formed in India. Success nurtured an
understanding between the firms, with Ador representing
Digatron in India for computer aided battery testing
equipment – for battery validation in both quality
assurance and research laboratories.
Digatron Industrie-Elektronik GmbH needs little
introduction – it stand for excellence with a global
reputation spanning 45 years. Digatron’s world wide
customer and installation base is unmatched by any other
manufacturer in the market.
With approximately 300 employees, on three continents
with plants in Germany, USA and China, Digatron is
