The General Educational Development exam is a
national test designed to measure the skills and
concepts usually learned during four years of high
school. Most employers (95%) consider it the equivalent of a high school diploma. Community colleges
accept this in lieu of a diploma. The GED® test is
entirely computer-based. There are four content
areas: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies, and Science. To
pass, you must receive a score of at least 150 on
each test module and a total score of 600 across the
four test modules.
