Eurotech Wheel Distribution Sdn Bhd, announce a 390cc promotional monobrand Cup for 2014. 1.1.2. The aim of the Cup is to promote KTM and their Cup Partner and foster young talents and to prepare them for future racing. For more information please see fb.ktmmalaysiackd.com or dukebattle.ktmmalaysiackd.com 1.1.3. The official series name will be “2014 KTM 390 Duke Battle”. 1.1.4. The Cup is organised and managed by: Eurotech Wheel Distribrution Sdn Bhd, Plot 4 Mukim Naga, Kawasan Perusahaan Bandar Darulaman 06000 Jitra, Kedah 1.2. DEFINITIONS Local Organiser: The respective race or race track organisation. Cup Race Rules/Regulation & Technical Organisation: Eurotech Wheel Distribution Sdn Bhd, including Philipp Moeller, Jack Lo, Amir Yusoff, Helmi Othman, Fazura Ahmad Sales & Marketing Organisation: Eurotech Wheel Distribution Sdn Bhd, Muhamad Zamry, Yazid Halim, Adam Kasim, Wong Hao Ran 1.3. GENERAL COMPETITION REGULATIONS 1.3.1. The KTM 390 Duke Battle will be conducted in accordance with the Malaysian Kapcai Endurance Race regulations laid down by the local track organiser and cup organiser, providing that no other terms are set in the present regulations. 1.3.2. The Cup Organisation reserves the right to issue deviations subject to co-ordination with the responsible organisations. 1.3.3. In general the 2014 KTM 390 Duke Battle will be implemented in line with the following: a – the international motorcycling racing regulations laid down by MAM b – any supplementary regulation eventually issued by the MAM c – the present regulations including any subsequent amendments d – the technical requirements set out by KTM Malaysia CKD e – final decisions are made by those responsible for the 2014 KTM 390 Duke Battle; there is no recourse to legal action. 1.4. EVENTS 1.4.1. The events generally take place at races of the Malaysian Kapcai Endurance Race 1.4.2. All circuits are homologated according to the regulations laid down by the MAM for the Malaysian Cup Endurance Race 1.4.3. The Cup organiser in co-operation with Track organiser is responsible for providing the facilities and personnel to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the event. 1.4.4. In general there are 9 races planned through the course of the season. Races will take place at the events listed below. In general the races are on Saturday and Sunday. Rd1 April 19/20 Melaka, Track MIMC Ayer Keroh Rd2 June 13/14 Kedah, Track UUM Sintok Rd3 Aug 16/17 Selangor, SIC Rd4 Sept 6/7 Perak, Dato’ Sagor Rd5 Sept 27/28 Pahang, Pekan Rd6 Oct 18/19 Sabah, Kota Kinabalu Rd7 Nov 1/2 Sarawak, Kuching Rd8 Nov 21/22 Johor, Bakri Final Dec 13/14 Final, Sepang 1.4.5. The Cup Organisation, reserves the right to cancel or add individual races if deemed reasonable for the development of the series. 1.4.6. If a Cup event is held outside the umbrella of the Malaysian Kapcai Endurance Race then supplementary regulations will be created. 1.5. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1.5.1. Licenses and Start Permission 1.5.1.1. To be authorised to participate, riders must be in possession of a valid MAM License, which will be available at the time of registration of each event. (Day License) 1.5.1.2 In addition, each rider needs to be in possession of certain riding/racing experience. 1.5.2. Entry 1.5.2.1. A maximum of 15 start positions each round are available for the 2014 KTM 390 Duke Battle. Only riders selected by the Cup Organisation may take part and are inscribed as riders. 1.5.2.2. Further start positions may be allocated by the Cup Organisation and will be treated as “guest riders”. 1.5.2.3. The Cup Organisation reserves the right to exclude riders from participation in the 2014 KTM 390 Duke Battle in case of violation of the rules, repeated unsatisfactory results or any other inappropriate behaviour during the season or ahead of the season. 1.5.2.4 The selection of rider of each round shall carried out by the cup organisation and their business partner authorised KTM CKD Dealer. 1.5.2.5 A selection/application form shall be provided to the applicants 3 weeks ahead of each event via authorised KTM CKD Dealer and fb.ktmmalaysiackd.com or dukebattle.ktmmalaysiackd.com 1.5.2.6. The final selection of the participants carried out by the cup organisation will be done within 1 week after the distribution of application form. 1.5.2.7. A selected rider of each round must confirm his intention to participate 10 days ahead of each round. 1.5.2.8 In any event of cancelation of the participant the next following applicant may be choosen from the cub organisation to replace the missing rider. 1.5.2.9 The announcenment via dukebattle.ktmmalaysiackd.com or fb.ktmmalaysiackd.com of the final riders list of each round must be done 1 week ahead of each event. 1.5.2.10 An for the final round awarded rider of the state rounds are not allowed to participate in any other of the state rounds. 1.5.2.11 An not for the final round awarded rider may be eligible to participate only once a second time. 1.5.2.12 The selection of the rider is on „first come, first serve“ basis and the grade of riding experience 1.5.3. Age Restriction 1.5.3.1. In general the age limit is set between 18 and 40 years of age. 1.5.4. Formality 1.5.4.1. In order to participate in the KTM 390 Duke Battle each rider must sign an agreement set by ETWD. This agreement (INDEMNITY DECLARATION) must be signed by the rider. 1.6. GENERAL BENEFITS AND HOSPITALITY In consideration for his services under the agreement set out by ETWD (see 1.5.4. Formality), ETWD will provide the rider, as part of the right to participate in the KTM 390 Duke Battle, with the following remuneration: 1.6.1. Passes for the Paddock/Waiting Area 1.6.2. Parking access 1.6.2.1. There is no motorhome parking. 1.6.2.2. The Cup Organisation provides each rider with 1 car parking access for the event. 1.6.4. Competition motorcycle – see also 2.TECHNICAL REGULATIONS 1.6.4.1. The Cup Organisation will provide each rider with a motorcycle which complies with the regulations of the Cup. 1.6.4.2. Only KTM 390 motorcycles supplied by KTM Malaysia CKD especially for this Cup are authorised to participate. 1.6.4.3. The Cup Organisation has the right to apply technical modifications to the bike whenever deemed necessary by KTM Malaysia CKD or as required by the regulations. 1.6.4.4. Transportation of the motorcycles to each Cup Event and to additional official pre and post events will be handled by the Cup Organisation. 1.6.4.5. A change of the motorcycle during the event is not permitted. 1.6.5. Technical Service and Parts 1.6.5.1. All necessary maintenance and repair service, spare parts and tires required for the Cup are the responsibility of the Cup Organisation and provided free of charge. In the event that the Cup Organisation considers that a rider's lack of skill, concentration or judgement is resulting in an unreasonable level of damage to the motorcycles the Cup Organisation is free to take whatever punitive steps it deems necessary with respect to that rider. These may include financial penalties and/or withdrawal of machinery. 1.6.5.2. The Cup Organisation provides the workshop tent in the Paddock for the technical preparation and support. 1.6.6. Leathers, Racing Equipment and clothing 1.6.6.1. The Cup Organisation will provide each rider with a set of Helmet, leathers and gloves. The leathers/gloves/helmet will be transported by the Cup Organisation and will be handed out to the riders at the beginning of the event. They have to be thoroughly cleaned and returned to the Cup Organisation at the end of the race weekend. 1.6.6.2. None of the equipment may be used for any racing or testing outside the Cup unless specific permission is given in writing by the Cup Organisation. 1.6.6.3. Choice of undergarments are up to the rider but must not be made of a synthetic material which might melt and cause damage to the riders’ skin. 1.6.6.4. Riders must wear a helmet which is in good condition, provides a good fit and is properly fastened. 1.6.6.5. Only riders with complete suitable for racing riding gear are eligible to participate. 1.6.6.6. Team Clothing: Each rider will be provided with a set of team shirt which has to be worn every day of each event. The rider is obliged to keep their uniform in a flawlessly clean and undamaged condition at all times. 1.6.6.7 A deposit of 300 RM hast to be given to the Cup Organisation at the time of hand over. Its refundable by return. 1.6.6. Trophies State Rounds - 1st Place: 700 RM, 2nd Place: 500 RM, 3rd Place: 300 RM. Final Championship Round - 1st Place: 2014 KTM Duke 200 W/O ABS, 2nd Place: Voucher - 2000 RM of KTM PowerParts & PowerWear, 3rd Place: Voucher - 1000 RM of KTM PowerParts & PowerWear. 1.7. CONDUCTING THE COMPETITIONS 1.7.1. Event Management 1.7.1.1. The KTM 390 Duke Battle is run under the umbrella of Malaysian Kapcai Endurance Race, which means the Cup uses the existing infrastructure and officials as laid down in the MAM rules. 1.7.1.2. The management of the Cup will be carried out by the Event Management Committee which will consists of the following delegates: The Representative of the Cup Organisation: Philipp Moeller (ETWD) Jack Lo (ETWD) The KTM Superfan Representative: Azlan Bin Haji Johan 1.7.1.3. At any time the duties of the members of the Event Management Committee are: a – To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the event b – To ensure the correct and punctual set-up of the Cup Paddock c – To ensure that the championship motorcycles are in a correct technical condition d – To make recommendations to the Race Direction concerning any matter that is in contradiction of these Regulations 1.7.2. Race Direction 1.7.2.1. The Race Direction will comprise the following persons: Philipp Moeller (ETWD), TBA 1.7.2.2. The quorum for a meeting of the Race Direction is three persons. Each member has one vote. Decisions are based on a simple majority. 1.7.2.3. The Race Direction will meet at any time required during the event, but at least: a – prior to the first practice session. b – after the last official practice session. c – at the end of the event. 1.7.2.4. The duties of the Race Direction are: a – to impose penalties for any infringements of the regulations. b – to impose penalties on organisers for having been unable to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the event or for serious breaches of regulations. c – to adjudicate any protest relating to infringements of the regulations. 1.7.2.5. At any time during practices and race, all members of the Race Direction or – if one should be prevented for any reason – their deputies, have to be either physically present in the location of the Race Control or readily contactable via radio. 1.7.3. General Information Prior to each event, each rider will receive a “General Information” including the Official Time Schedule and other important information on that particular event. In general this information will be sent by email to the rider and/or another specified contact person of each rider, at least one week before the event. 1.7.4. Paddock Access 1.7.4.1. In general the Paddock and other facilities are available from Friday afternoon until the evening of the race day. Exceptions will be communicated in the General Information (1.7.3.). Any team or rider arriving prior to the indicated date will not be admitted inside the Paddock. 1.7.4.2. Security will be supplied to the Paddock area during the time frame above. 1.7.4.3. Bicycles are allowed. 1.7.4.4. No animals are allowed inside the Paddock Area. 1.7.5. Pit lane and grid access 1.7.6. Practice Sessions 1.7.6.1. In general two official practice sessions (one free practice & one qualifying session) 20 minutes will be held at each event. The correct time schedule will be communicated together with the General Information before each event. 1.7.6.2. Riders start the practice from the pit lane when the green light or a clear signage is displayed the pit lane exit. 1.7.6.3. A countdown showing the remaining practice time will be shown in the pit lane and start-finish straight. 1.7.6.4. The end of the practice will be indicated by the waving of a chequered flag. 1.7.6.5. If practice is interrupted due to an incident or any other reason a red flag will be displayed at the start line and all marshal posts. Riders must return slowly to the pits. When practice is restarted, the time remaining will be shown at the pit lane exit. 1.7.6.6. In case of a crash during a practice session, the rider must return to the pits to have his bike checked. 1.7.7. Practice and Qualifying 1.7.7.1. In general there will be at least one free practice session at each event. This will not be timed for the purpose of qualification. 1.7.7.2. There will be one qualifying practice sessions of 20 minutes at each event. 1.7.8. Grid Positions 1.7.8.1. Grid positions will be based on the fastest time recorded by the riders in the qualifying sessions. 1.7.8.2. In the event of a tie, the riders’ second and subsequent best times will be taken into account. 1.7.8.3. The grid will be arranged in the 3-3-3-3 configuration “in echelon”. 1.7.8.4. The final grid will be published before midday on race day or at least 1 hour before the race. 1.7.9. Races 1.7.9.1. There will be 2 heat race of 15 laps at each event. 1.7.9.2. The exact length of the race and the time schedule will be communicated in the General Information. 1.7.9.3. The length of a race may only be varied by the Race Direction. 1.7.9.4. A countdown board will be shown indicating the number of laps remaining. 1.7.10. Double Headers 1.7.10.1. Event with two races, one race will be on Saturday, one on Sunday. OR both on Sunday. 1.7.10.2. The starting-grid for both races will be according to qualifying. 1.7.11. Pre-start 1.7.11.1. Before each race there will be a pre-start time period of five minutes. The exact location of the pre-start will be communicated in the riders briefing at each event. Lateness of competition motorcycles and rider at the pre-start will be penalised with a ten-second time penalty added to the total time of the race of the respective rider. 1.7.11.2. In general the sighting lap will always start from the pit lane. 1.7.12. Start Procedure The sighting lap is not compulsory. Riders not completing a sighting lap start the warm up lap from the grid. 1) Refuelling in the pit lane on the grid is forbidden. 2) Approximately 10 minutes before the start of the race – Starting area entrance closes. Officials will display panels at the side of the track, indicating the row of the grid in order to assist riders in locating their position. 3) The race director will, at this stage, declare the race as “wet” or “dry” and will indicate this to the riders on the grid and those that may still be in the pit lane by the display of a board. If no board is displayed the race will automatically be “dry”. 4) Riders may at this stage make adjustments to the machine. All adjustments must be completed by the display of the 3 minutes board. After this board is displayed, riders who still wish to make adjustments must push their machine to the pit lane. Such riders and their machines must be clear of the grid and in the pit lane before the 1 minute board is displayed. Such riders will start the warm up lap from the pit lane and the race from the back of the grid. 5) 3 minutes before the start of the warm up lap – 3 minute board on the grid. 6) 1 minutes before the start of the warm up lap – 1 minute board on the grid. Helmets have to be put on. Start the engines; all persons have to leave the starting grid. 7) 30 seconds before the start of the warm up lap – 30 seconds board on the grid. All riders must be in position on the grid with engines running. No further assistance from mechanics is permitted. Any rider who is unable to start his engine must remove it to the pit lane under the control of the grid marshals, where he may make further attempts to start it. 8) The green flag is waved to start the warm up lap (approx. 2 minutes before the start of the race). In the interest of safety, any rider stalling his engine may be assisted to restart. If after a reasonable period the engine does not start, the rider will be pushed into the pit lane where he may receive further assistance. Any rider still in the pits after the closing of the pit lane exit will have to start the race from the pit lane. Any rider who encounters a problem with his machine on the warm up lap may return to the pit lane and make repairs. 9) On returning to the grid the riders must take their positions with the front wheel of their motorcycle up to or behind the front line and between the side lines defining the grid position. If two or more riders must start from the back of the grid, they will take up position in the order in which they qualified for the race. A marshal holding a red flag will stand in front of the grid. Any rider who stalls his engine on the grid or has other difficulties must remain on the motorcycle and raise an arm. It is not permitted to attempt to delay the start by any other means. When the grid is completed, the marshal with the red flag will walk to the side of the track. 10) Red lights will be displayed for between 2 and 5 seconds. The red light will go out to start the race or the malaysian flag has been waved. 1.7.13. Jump Start 1.7.13.1. Any rider who anticipates the start will be required to carry out a ride through penalty or time penalty. 1.7.13.2. Anticipation of the start is defined by the motorcycle moving forward during the red light period, or the flag has been waved. The Race Direction will decide if a penalty will be imposed. The rider will be notified before the end of the fourth lap. 1.7.14 Climate Conditions 1.7.14.1. Dry race - a race classified as dry will be interrupted by the Race Director if he considers that climatic conditions affecting the surface of the track. 1.7.14.2. Wet race – a race classified as wet will not be interrupted for climatic reasons. 1.7.14.3. In all cases where the first race is interrupted for climatic reasons, the restart will automatically be a wet race. 1.7.15 Re-Starting a race that has been interrupted. 1.7.15.1 If a race has to be re-started, then it will be done as quickly as possible, consistent with track conditions allowing. As soon as the riders have returned to the pits the Cup Organisation will announce a time for the new start procedure to begin. 1.7.15.2 The results of the first race will be available to riders and mechanics before the second part of a race can be started. 1.7.15.3 The start procedure will be identical to a normal start with warm-up lap, etc. 1.7.15.4 Conditions for the re-started race will be as follows: i) In the case of less than 3 laps completed: a. All riders may re-start. b. Motorcycles may be repaired and refuelling is permitted. c. The number of laps will be two-thirds of the original race distance rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps. d. The grid positions will be as for the original race. ii) In the case of 3 laps or more but less than two-thirds completed. a. Only riders who are classified as finishers in the first race may re-start. b. Motorcycles may be repaired and refuelling is permitted. c. The number of laps of the second race will be the number of laps required to complete two-thirds of the original race distance rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps with a minimum of 5 laps. d. The grid position will be based on the finishing order of the first race. e. The final race classification will be established according to the position and the consolidated number of laps of each rider at the time he crossed the finish line at the end of the last part of the race. ii) In the case that two-thirds of the original race distance rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps have been completed by the leader of the race and by all other riders on the same lap as the leader, then the race will be deemed to have been completed and full Championship points will be awarded. 1.7.16. End of Race 1.7.16.1. After the race, all motorcycles, except for the first three, that took part in the race go back directly to the Paddock where riders will park their machines. 1.7.16.2. The bikes of the first three will be parked in the waiting area. For at least 20 min. for protest consideration. 1.8. PROTESTS AND APPEALS 1.8.1. All protests are to be made in writing and presented to the Race Direction or to the Cup Organisation within 30 minutes after the last competitor has reached the finishing line. 1.8.2. Protest can be made only against: (a) the scoring/postioning of a race. (b) an irregularity committed during competition by another participant. 1.8.3. Group protests and protests against technical issues are inadmissible. 1.8.4. The acceptance of the protest, with details of the time that the protest was submitted, is to be countersigned by the person responsible or by the Cup Organisation. 1.8.5. A protest fee of 500 RM, is to be deposited in cash or by check immediately, accompanying the protest. 1.8.6. The person subordinate in the protest must ultimately bear the entire costs. The decision, whether the protest is accepted or refused will be made by the Race Direction or the Cup Organisation after investigation. 1.9. BEHAVIOUR DURING PRACTICE AND RACE 1.9.1. A rider should only use the track and pit lane. If a rider accidentally leaves the track, then he may rejoin the race at the place indicated by the marshals or at the place which does not provide an advantage to him. Any infringement of this rule during the practices or warm up will be penalised by the cancellation of the lap time concerned and during the race by a ride through penalty. 1.9.2. Riders are not allowed to transport another person on their machine or to be transported by another rider on his machine. This rule includes the race track, pit lane and paddock area at any time during, before and after practices, qualifying and race. 1.9.3. When leaving the KTM 390 Duke Battle Paddock for practices or the race, riders have to ride carefully and slowly as they pass through the Paddock or living area. 1.9.4. Riders must not ride their motorcycles in the opposite direction of the circuit, either on the track or in the pit lane, unless doing so under the direction of an Official. Motorcycles may be pushed in opposite direction in the pit lane without engine running. 1.9.5. Overtaking during a yellow flag period is forbidden. Any infringement of this during practice session will result in the cancellation of the time of the lap during which the infraction occurred. Any infringement during the race will be penalised by a ride through penalty. 1.9.6. Participation in all official riders’ briefings, podium ceremonies and press conferences is compulsory for all riders. 1.10. FLAGS AND LIGHTS 1.10.1. Flags and Lights used to provide information 1.10.1.1. Green Flag: The Track is clear. This flag will be shown motionless at each flag marshal post for the first lap of each practice session, for the sighting and warm-up lap. It is also shown directly after a yellow incident is over. 1.10.1.2. Yellow Flag: Shown motionless, if the adhesion on this section of the track could be affected by any other reason than rain, !!! (i.e. oil). 1.10.1.3. Blue Flag: Shown waved, this flag indicates to a rider that he is about to be overtaken. During the practice sessions, the rider concerned must keep his line and slow down gradually to allow the faster rider to pass him. During the race, the rider concerned is about to be lapped. He must allow the following rider(s) to pass him at the earliest opportunity. Any infringement of this rule will be penalised with the following penalties: fine – disqualification. 1.10.1.4. Chequered Flag (black & white): Waved at the finish line on the track level to indicate the finish of a race or practice session. 1.10.1.5. Green Light: This light will be switched on at the pit lane exit to signal the start of each practice session, the start of the sighting lap(s) and the start of the warm up lap. 1.10.2. Flags and Lights which convey information and instructions 1.10.2.1. Yellow Flag: Shown waved at each row of the starting grid, this flag indicates that the start of the race is delayed. Shown waved at the flag marshal post, this flag indicated that there is danger ahead. Riders must slow down and be prepared to stop. Overtaking is forbidden until the point where the green flag is shown. Any infringement of this rule during a practice session will result in the cancellation of the time of the lap during which the infraction occurred. In case of infringement during the race, the rider must go back the number of positions decided by the Race direction. The penalty will be first communicated to the Cup Organisation and the rider's mechanic. Then a board will be displayed for the rider on the finish line for a maximum of 5 laps. If the rider does not go back in time, he will be penalised by a ride-through.In both cases further penalties (such as fine – suspension) may also be imposed. If immediately after having overtaken, the rider realises his infraction, he must raise his hand and let the rider(s) that he has overtaken re-pass. In this case no penalty will be imposed. During the final inspection lap, this flag must be waved at the exact place where the flag marshal will be positioned during the practices and the race. 1.11. DISTRIBUTION OF POINTS 1.11.1. All riders taking part in the race will be included in the scoring subject to the conditions that they finish at least 75% of the distance achieved by the winner and that they cross the finishing line within 5 minutes of the winner. 1.11.2. The state round scores of 1st and 2nd rider in the round standing will be awarded with the participation on the final round in Sepang International Curcuit. 1.11.4. If two riders have the same total, the position will be decided according to the number of best positions in the 2nd heat. 1.11.5. Subsequent positions are determined by the order of the number of points scored by each rider. 1.11.7. Guest rider will not be eligible to receive points. 1.12. ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL MONITORING 1.12.1. Administrative monitoring (registration) 1.12.1.1. At the beginning of every event, each rider must present the starting permission. 1.12.2. Technical monitoring (technical approval) 1.12.2.1. The technical team of the Cup Organisation is responsible for ensuring that the motorcycle fully complies with the technical regulations laid down. 1.12.2.2. The riders’ helmet is examined to ensure that it is in the required condition. 1.12.2.3. In general, as the riders do not have any chance to change something on the bike on their own, they cannot be made responsible for any violation of the regulations. However, if the Cup Organisation can prove that a rider is responsible for any deliberate violation of the regulations, the vehicle may be disqualified from the competition. In this case the participant may be excluded from race in the KTM 390 Duke Battle and lose any prizes won up to that point. 1.13. VISUAL DESIGN AND ADVERTISING RIGHTS 1.13.1. In general all branding areas on the motorcycle and riders equipment shall be used only by the Cup Organisation. 1.13.2. Certain areas upon request of the racing leathers may be used as promotion space for a riders' personal sponsors. These personal sponsors may not be in competition with KTM or the partners of KTM 390 Duke Battle and are to be presented to the Cup Organisation for authorisation before use. 1.13.3. The maximum size of such promotion space shall be approximately 8 x 4cm each for two personal sponsors. 1.13.4. The logos of the personal sponsors of each participant may be also attached to the official team wear in a nice and neat way that must be agreed to by the Cup Organisation. Only personal sponsors that appear on the leathers may be attached. 1.13.5. The team wear provided must be worn during the podium ceremony. 1.14. PROVISIONS AND LIABILITY 1.14.1 For reasons of safety, or official regulations, the Cup Organisation reserves the right to perform changes to the conditions and rules of entry. If it is necessary to cancel the event for extraordinary reasons, damage compensation claims will not be recognised. 1.15. INSURANCE 1.15.1. Each participant is responsible by himself for providing himself with sufficient insurance cover! 1.16. EXCLUSION FROM SCORING 1.16.1. Violations of the rules, the technical regulations, unsporting behaviour, unsporting riding or behaviour damaging the reputation of the 2014 KTM 390 Duke Battle can, depending on the severity of the violation, result in disqualification, exclusion from the scoring in the respective round, or exclusion from the Cup by the Cup Organisation. 2. TECHNICAL REGULATIONS 2.1. GENERAL CONDITIONS 2.1.1. In general the technical regulations laid down by the organisation are valid for the 2014 KTM 390 Duke Battle. 2.2. MOTORCYCLES 2.2.1. The motorcycles are provided by KTM to the following specification. Rider 2.2.2. All KTM 390 cc Cup motorcycles are strictly the same, allowing only some minor adaptations aimed at make racing as safe as possible: a – Adjustment of the secondary gear ratio to the possibilities and rider needs. b – Adjustment of the handlebar and lever position. c – Adjustment of suspension damping. 2.2.3. All changes will be made by the technical team of the KTM 390 Duke Battle Any further modification, variation, addition or change apart to those already mentioned inside these technical regulations, may only be decided by the Chief Technician and made by the mechanics of the Cup Organisation. 2.3. TECHNICAL STAFF 2.3.1.The Technical Staff includes one Chief Mechanic and 4 Lead Mechanics. Each of these mechanics will take care of a specific group of riders at all of the events. 2.3.2. Each rider will have a Helper Mechanic (may provided by rider) who will be responsible for the mechanical service and preparation needed during the Cup weekend. 2.4. FUEL 2.4.1. The fuel will be free of use. 2.4.2. Only unleaded fuel up to 97 octan will be used. 2.5. TIRES 2.5.1. The tires will be supplied by TBA Front: TBA Rear: TBA 2.5.2. In general there will be 1 tire sets per rider per race weekend. 2.5.3. All decisions and/or changes concerning the specification and amount of tires mounted on the motorcycles will be made exclusively by the Cup Organisation. 2.6. SPARE PARTS & REPAIRS 2.6.1. Only spare parts provided by the Cup Organisation are allowed. 2.6.2. The Cup Organisation will provide the best mechanical service as possible. However the Cup Organisation reserves the right to restrict the technical service to participants, in the case one rider repeatedly damages the motorcycle due to lack of concentration or unnecessary errors. 2.7.3. The Organisation cannot guarantee that a rider will always have a bike ready for racing. 2.7. RIDING NUMBERS 2.7.1. All selected riders will have a fixed number for each round. This number will be distributed and communicated to the Cup Organisation who will sort out number conflicts at their discretion.
