Burt Nordstrom will share some of his personal experiences in this area. Heather Hostler, Chief Deputy, Office of Tribal Advisor, returns to Humboldt to accept the Distinguished Alumni Award, and deliver a talk about her experiences as a Humboldt student from the perspective as a tribal member and what it takes to accomplish your goals in the non-native world. PIET DEVRIES (right) ’93, Environmental Systems Senior Technical Advisor, Global Communities An Inside Perspective on International Relief and Development Thursday, April 21, 5 pm, Science B, Room 133 Greg Beck and Piet Devries will discuss some of their experiences in international relief responses, development activities, and policy developments from the Indonesian tsunami response, to the opening of Burma/Myanmar, to the Liberian Ebola outbreak containment.
