Jackson Galaxy provided insight into the three types of
cat personalities: the “Mojito,” the “Napoleon,”
and the “Wallflower.” The Mojito, a welcoming,
sweet cat will greet you at the door, and if he could
talk might say, “Hello, welcome to my territory. Would
you care for a Mojito?” Napoleon cats will greet you a
bit differently with, “This is my territory, and just so you
know, I own this place.” Wallflower cats, like the name
suggests, may say “This is not my place, this is your
place.”
Although the cats behave differently, the steps to alter
their behavior are almost identical. Jackson advised
everyone to play with their cats using toys to help them
gain more confidence.
Jackson’s final words of inspiration: If you have one
cat, get another. If you have two cats, get a third. If you
have 12 cats, call it a day!

Pedigrees need homes, too
How amusing that Cat Depot picked me to depict a feline Napoleon personality! I am a stunning female
Flame Point Siamese cat. My name is Puff, and yes, maybe I like to own everything: the pod I am in, my
roommates, and whoever adopts me. But, I am very smart; I have awesome blue eyes, a cream coat and
orange markings; and I loved being involved in the life of my family.
I was confused and heartbroken when I was relinquished to Cat Depot because my parents could no longer
care for me. Lost love can hurt, but true love can also heal. The Napoleon in me can be softened in a place I
could call my very own.
I’m looking for a new domain. Do you have a home that needs to be conquered?
I’m a Party Animal
A Mojito, a traditional Cuban highball with sparkling water, rum, sugar and mint is exceptionally sweet,
refreshing and welcoming, like me, after a long, hot day. Add to the recipe some brawn, brains and qualities
that all humans adore: someone to greet them, a lap cat who can soothe their anxiety, purring with each
caress. My name is Hector. I’m a black and white tabby and I can calm the beast in you.
Although I am the perfect Mojito kitty, they tell me I’m diabetic and insulin dependent. But, all my toes
are crossed hoping that Dr. Rand, an honored Cat Depot veterinarian, can perform his magic on me. His
acupuncture treatments have helped three other cats - two are insulin free and the third is following suit.
While I anxiously await my appointment, stop in Corey’s office at cocktail hour and try my love potion #9.

There’s
no
place
like
home
I remember my parents meeting with an adoption counselor at Cat Depot, my Dad overwhelmed with
emotion, tears streaming down his cheeks. I wasn’t sure why they had brought my sister Violet and me to
this big, beautiful warehouse full of cats, but it was nicer than where we had been living. You see, my family
was homeless. Getting quality cat naps and any litter box privacy was tough.
My folks call me Lucy, and a visitor described me as the most stunning Tortie she had ever seen. To help
draw me out, a lady named Carol found my “cat mojo,” chasing a feathered bird attached to a pole. After
playing, I took a snooze in her lap. I know now I can trust again.
My parents are doing better and are hopeful that I find another home. I may be a wallflower, but I long to
hear the words “I Love Lucy.“
