Tactical Cross Domain Solution - TACDS™
Mission success in today’s battle space is dependent on
the timely sharing of actionable information between
commanders and warfighters on the front line. Even
though recent enhancements to tactical communications
allow the extension of the network to individual soldiers at
the tactical edge, differences in security classification
between network layers inhibit sharing of this mission
critical information. A Cross Domain Solution (CDS) acts
as a guard between security levels preventing classified
data spillage or cyber-attacks on the classified portions of
the network.
TACDS™ meets the unique needs of warfighters on the
Tactical Edge, enabling the automated exchange of
tactical information between security domains. TACDS™
provides a low cost, small Size, Weight, and Power
(SWaP), rugged, tamper-resistant unit that is ideal for
tactical edge applications. It is offered in vehicle mounted
or dismounted configurations.
TACDS™ is a NSA certified CDS and is on the UCDMO
Baseline List of Validated Solutions. TACDS™ works by
executing programmable rule sets that filter information
(messages) bi-directionally, allowing individual messages
or data fields within them to be selectively passed,
blocked, or changed. This method ensures data security
on both networks and eliminates the time consuming “man
in the middle” screening of message exchanges.

Integrated Modeling Tools
The Systems Engineering process requires integrated
modeling tools early in the mission planning phase to
drive out realistic, success oriented program architectures. Unfortunately, this phase comes with ill-defined
system requirements, system concepts, immature
technologies, and program requirements that are not
easily analyzed, managed, conceptualized, or well
communicated into a “baseline” system concept. Advatech, under the sponsorship and support of the Air Force
Research Laboratory (AFRL), has infused the concepts
of systems engineering into integrated system management tools that can establish a collaborative system
concept trade study environment with a knowledge
database for use by decision makers in the acquisition
process to define affordable systems.
Launch Vehicle Modeling
& Simulation
Advatech has developed techniques and tools for modeling and simulation of Launch Vehicles, Strategic Missiles,
Boosters, and Post Boost Vehicles. Our tools can perform
rapid assessment of concepts by performing trade
studies, supporting definition of requirements and evaluation of proposed technologies. The tools can model

In partnership with AFRL, Advatech has developed an
integrated multi-disciplinary engineering toolset capable
of optimizing the design and cost of space vehicles and
advanced launch systems, and modeling the space
environment. Our tool provides end-to-end simulation
functionality, from launch through orbit, including
mission cost.
Advatech offers a broad range of high fidelity Composite
Structures Analysis Tools and Services using a variety of
state-of-the-art software and methods. One particular
focus is the development and application of composite
design handbooks verified and validated by experimental
results and built on fully parametric high-fidelity finite
element models with automatic error estimation. Features
of interest include core termination regions, PI-joints,
bonded joints, bolted joints and sandwich panel repair.
Development of our tools and methods is supported
through seven past and present DoD Phase I and Phase II
