MONTHLY BUSINESS CONNECTION
Chesaning Chamber Of Commerce Board of Directors MONTHLY BUSINESS CONNECTION May 2015 Bobbi Bates President The President’s Corner…... Greg Bruff Vice-President Jessie Woods May 2015 Secretary CHANGE: To make or become different, according to Webster’s dictionary. Some say it’s a necessity, some say it’s a waste. The truth is it’s Treasurer inevitable. Like it or not, change will happen. It’s up to us to make it a good change or a bad one. I see change all over our town. What I see is good. We have new businesses opening up this month, Pintown Pizza and Lanes Ron Ebenhoeh & Frosty’s Ice Cream. We welcome Citizens bank (formerly Charter One Metro Mortgage Bank), a new location for our ambulance (MMR), and Creative Crop is Jami Meyer opening their 3rd location. Our schools are getting a much needed expansion and athletic field. Many of you have been giving your businesses a Meyer Electric Inc face lift or a remodel. Pat yourself on the back. All of this is good change. Amy Nietling The chamber consists of over 130 members, and all of you are doing your Chesaning Pools part to change this town. It might just be staying open a little longer, adding a Facebook page, a website, making deliveries, or a little extra cusJohn Reiber tomer service. We change every day to keep up and keep our business Wells Fargo open. This world won’t change without us. Chesaning will show it, we will Melissa Schneider hang in with the best of them. It takes all of us to make it happen. A comSt Mary’s of munity that works together is a striving community. And a striving community survives. Chesaning I see our young citizens helping out. National Honor Society kids are Nicole Schoch helping with the fireworks and kids day during the River Days festival. PNC Bank Children are a reflection of what their parents do. I think we have a lot of good parents and a lot of good business people in this town. What a great Randy Stoddard example of the trickledown effect. This can help keep Chesaning moving Stoddard Homes forward. I see many small towns in the state of Michigan that are struggling Anne Swartzmiller to keep business in their downtown open. When you drive through our town, we have many businesses open. The streets are clean, the lights are Swartzmiller on, and the flowers on the boulevard are blooming. Chesaning looks Lumber ALIVE. So bravo to you, let’s keep changing, so Chesaning can keep striving. Steve Keck Marcy King Executive Director Have a great day!!
