WELCOME LETTER FROM MAYOR
A
Caroline St-Hilaire
La mairesse de
Longueuil,
Mayor of Longueuil
O
n behalf of myself and my colleagues on the municipal council, I wish to thank the
organizing committee of the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) for
having chosen Ville de Longueuil and the Aéroport Saint-Hubert Longueuil (AMSL)
as the site for its annual conference, to be held June 16-18, 2015.
Our city is extremely proud to play host this year to the largest gathering of Canada’s business
aviation community, especially since this is the first time the event is being held at a regional airport.
As a municipal administration, it is our belief that airport activities contribute substantially to
the regional economy, which is why we constantly strive to ensure the positive development of our
airport.
I would like to wish all delegates a warm welcome to our city. I am confident that your time
here will convince you of the many benefits that our airport and our region have to offer.
Enjoy your stay in Longueuil!

AvFuel H-18 CYHU
On behalf of the Canadian Business Aviation Association and AvFuel H-18 CYHU, we
would like to welcome you to Montréal St-Hubert, Canada’s first civil aviation airport.
Sitting peacefully on the South Shore of Montréal – the Le Bourget of Canada.
Our conference committee has worked hard to create a program that represents all
the segments from our industry, featuring keynote speakers on topical issues, customized workshops, panel presentations and lectures. Be sure to visit our exhibit hall with more than 50 exhibiting
organizations based in our hangar, previously Pratt & Whitney Canada’s engine flight test base and
the home of their Boeing 720. The static display will be on our ramp and will include more than 15
aircraft and models for all to view & visit. Join your peers at our social events that help you explore
our airport and network with the best and the brightest in the industry!
If you are a regular CBAA convention delegate, welcome back: We thank you for your continued
support and involvement.
We would also like to welcome first-time convention participants to Canadian Business Aviation’s
Premier Event. The CBAA annual convention is the perfect place to bring the business aviation community together to share the wealth of knowledge and experiences.
If you are not a member of CBAA, join now, build your network and participate in this exciting event.
We are certain this convention will be a great success and we hope that you will have a chance to
discover and enjoy the friendly hospitality of our South Shore and of course the international charm,
beauty, and excitement of a Montreal summer.
We hope the CBAA 2015 will leave you with a refreshed look into the perpetually trending aviation
industry.
We also look forward to your participation and contribution to our convention and its events.
M

two ways
to conquer the world.
Now you have two choices for superior, ultra-long-range capability. The 5,950 nm Falcon 7X—the fastest selling Falcon ever (and with
good reason). Or the new, 6,450 nm Falcon 8X, destined to become a favorite of world travelers. Both have the awe-inspiring ability
to y long distances from short and challenging runways such as Aspen and London City. The 8X is more than three feet longer,
with over 30 cabin layouts. Fly far. Fly in comfort. Achieve more.

Address: Releasing the Untapped Potential of
Business Aviation
MAIN
– Gilles Ouimet, frm Chair, Pratt & Whitney Canada
Studies have shown that companies which use
business aviation have better bottom lines than
those that don’t. However, Canadian companies’
use of business aircraft lag behind the U.S., and
contribute to the significant productivity gap
between Canada and the States. Gilles Ouimet,
former Chair of Pratt & Whitney Canada and an
aviation leader for over 30 years, will review what
we should be doing to release business aviation’s
untapped potential – to the benefit of Canadian
companies, and to Canada.

– Terry Yeomans, Director ISBAH, IBAC
Find out how implementation of The International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling
(IS-BAH™) through to certification can help your

safety and service quality. The IS-BAH™ was
developed by the industry, for the industry and
aimed specifically at Fixed Based Operators and
Business Aviation Handling Agents in Canada and
around the world. The Standard promotes industry best practices blended through progressive
Safety Management System (SMS) standardization in preparation of globally proposed changes
to ground-handling legislation.

maintaining core airmanship skills are paramount, especially in emergency situations. A crew’s first
focus in an emergency should be flying the aircraft and maintaining or working to return to stable flight.
Only when the plane is under control should attention turn to analyzing the situation, determining the
