It is run by Jo-Anne de Kock & Jacqui Gilbert who take great pride in arranging the most memorable journeys. Jacqui Gilbert will be accompanying this tour to Peru. Jacqui has an international following as an inspirational facilitator of personal growth, healing and channelled workshops. Since 1976 she has worked regularly throughout the world, using techniques of channelling, meditation and transformational energy processes. Your local Peruvian guide will guide you through the sites, sharing his knowledge with you in An open and friendly manner. He speaks English and will assist you wherever and however possible. ITINERARY DAY 1 Depart from Johannesburg, connect at Sao Paulo by 15h50 and then fly to Lima Peru, where we will be met on our arrival and transferred to our 5 star Hotel close to the airport for the night. DAY 2 After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and transfer back to the airport to board our flight to Cuzco (10,500 ft) the colourful ancient capital of the Inca Empire. We will be met at our arrival and transferred to the Jose Antonio hotel. There will be some time to adjust to the change in altitude and in the afternoon we embark on our private tour of Cuzco, where we take our visits to all the sites at our own pace giving us time for silent meditation and reflection. We will visit the Temple of the Sun, Korikancha and Sacsayhuaman, an impressive piece of Incan architecture which represents the puma’s head, Cuzco having been laid out in the shape of the puma. We also experience Puca Pucara, Qenqo and Tambomachay, the private baths or fountains of the Incan nobles and priests, that receive water from a spring which has flowed for hundreds of years of which the source is unknown. We then see Cusilluchayoc, an ancient shrine. We will then have a welcome dinner with the traditional music of the Andeans. DAY 3 After waking up to the magnificent views and fresh air, we finish our breakfasts and venture to the beautiful Sacred Valley that houses the Urubamba River. We visit the richly colourful Pisaq market and ruins. We experience Ollantaytambo, the Sanctuary of the Wind where we receive blessings from Wayra meaning wind - guardian of the site. Then we visit the Temple of the Condor, which is the powerful totem of the HanaPacha, the upper world and the sacred and ancient Sun Temple. Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the Sacred Valley and time to roam around and take in all the energies of the sites. Overnight at the hotel. DAY 4 This is the day of the Inti Raymi Festival, in honour of the winter solstice or the solar new year for the town of Cuzco, whose main cult object was the God Inti (the Sun). In Inca times it was a religious ceremony but now it’s a theatrical representation which is performed in the Quechua language. The celebration will begin at the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) and then continues to Sacsayhuaman, where we connect with our personal power. DAY 5 After breakfast we take a first class bus offering a superior panoramic view of the entire ride up to the magnificent Machu Picchu (7,700 ft), one of the most sacred places on earth! We also visit the Temple of Condor, Temple of the Three Windows and the famous spiritual center of the site, Intihuatana meaning Hitching Post of The Sun. Overnight at the Hatuchay Tower Hotel. DAY 6 Later in the morning, we have the wonderful opportunity to climb the Huayna Picchu meaning Young Peak, where we will conduct our own private ceremony and then experience the Temple of the Moon, filled with sacred energies to connect with. We have now experienced all the natural elements of the sun, wind and moon. So it’s almost obligatory to lastly indulge in the powerful healing properties of the Andean hot springs. We return to Cuzco for the night. DAY 7 After breakfast we take a fairly long and scenic bus ride to Puno. Along the way we stop and visit Andahuaylillas, a chapel exhibiting 16th and 17th century artworks, Raqchi, Temple for the supreme God of the Incas – Wiracocha. We will stop at Sicuani, an exclusive restaurant for an Andean buffet lunch and then carry on to La Raya, the highest point along the ride, where snow peaked mountains and the unspoiled countryside can be appreciated. We finally see Pukara which is one of the first archeological complexes in a grand pyramidal shape dating back to 4000 years BC. We then check into Casa Andina Private Collection in Puno for the night. DAY 8 Wake up in the morning to view the magnificent Lake Titicaca! We will take a boat ride and connect with the energies of MamaCocha, the Mother Lake, to the Floating Islands of Uros. These islands are made up of totora reeds which grow in the lake and are named after the Uros People who live there. Overnight at Casa Andina. DAY 9 Today we have the special privilege of experiencing the inter dimensional doorway of Aramu Muru, passing the Valley of the Spirits, and experiencing the Inca’s Sun Seat. It is a full day of absorbing the powerful healing energies of the Tonohuiri and Chucuito with lunch included. Overnight at our Puno Hotel. DAY 10 After breakfast we transfer to the Puno airport to board our flight to Lima. Along the way we will stop and visit the Sillustani ruins, with its mysterious circular burial towers over-looking Lake Umayo. We transfer to our 5 Star Sol de Oro Hotel in Lima and enjoy a fun farewell dinner and folk show to celebrate the completion of our healing, rejuvenating and powerfully soulful journey. DAY 11 In the morning we transfer to the airport for our flight back to Sao Paulo. Spend some time shopping or exploring the city of Sao Paulo. Depart from the airport at 17h50 for the flight back to Johannesburg. DAY 12 Arrive at Johannesburg International airport early in the morning.
