Significance of Janai
Purnima Festival
The Brahmin's biggest religious
festival 'Janai purnima' is at home of every
Nepalese Residence. 'Janai' means sacred
thread to be worn by every Brahmin, Jaishi
& even Kshetris among four major castes
in Nepali community. Three caste's from
Brahman to Kshetree wear sacred thread
at the neck. First, the thread is prepared
and then is made sacred by holy religious
ceremonial activities. At dawn besides
sudras the very last caste other people
wake up, take bath in the holy river & back
to home they wear pious sacred thread by
chanting mantras from rig & yajurved. It is
said every Hindu is born once from the
womb of mother, second time he is born
by wearing sacred thread. Sacred thread
is one of the most religious is ornament in
Hindu countries. Since the first wearing of
the sacred thread every year every body
in special male person must change the
sacred thread. To change when necessary
every Brahmin gets ready sacred thread
in this very festival i.e. full moon day of
shravan which this year is falling on August
10. The rule of every Hindu Brahmin is to
update the sacred thread on every four
month. Means the renewal date of sacred
thread is within four months since the
wearing time. Besides if someone near &
dear relative dies after due course of time
is over then sacred thread must be
changed. In doing so nearly one single
person pure Brahmin requires dozen over
sacred thread. Therefore, sacred threads
are made by religious activity i.e. by
chanting of Ved mantras, Rudri a very
powerful mantra book in our religion the
huge amount of sacred thread is prepared
in lord Shiva temples. Every home priest
has right to prepare such sacred thread
i.e. 'Janai' . After changing sacred thread
himself he visits daylong to the concerned
homes & residences to bind thread on
every body's wrist. On behalf of this,
people offer some fruits & money for the
priest. In this full moon day people wear
new dresses & feel happy. On such religious
occasion exchange of blessing is done
from pundit upon the devotees. Thou be
live hundred years over, be prosperity upon
you, be full of wealth & your health be
sound enough; be your life complete
perfected, no enemy hurt upon you & upon
your wife, sons, daughters & the whole
family is wished. Janai is worn by matured
who have already sacred thread ceremony
while everybody wears common thread in
the wrist. By wearing thread & sacred
thread one is protected by any type of evil
element. Janai purnima or shravan full
moon day is purely Hindus religious festival.
Other religious communities have their own
different ritual & ceremonies, but Hindus
Shravan full moon day is super most.
Nepali people especially Hindus observe
this festival, wherever they live in profession
in the world. Sacred thread wearing
ceremony & changing of thread are
compulsory, but Hindu people living in
foreign countries are deprived of observing
this festival if they live in small community.

Mathematics as “the study of topics such as
quantity (numbers),structure, space, and
change.” There is a range of views among
mathematicians and philosophers as to the exact
scope and definition of mathematics. When
mathematical structures are good models of real
phenomena, then mathematical reasoning can
provide insight or predictions about nature.
Through the use of abstraction and logic,
mathematics developed from counting,
calculation, measurement, and the systematic
study of the shapes and motions of physical
objects. Practical mathematics has been a human
activity for as far back as written records exist.
Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) said, "The universe
cannot be read until we have learned the language
and become familiar with the characters in which
it is written. It is written in mathematical language,
and the letters are triangles, circles and other
geometrical figures, without which means it is
humanly impossible to comprehend a single word.
Without these, one is wandering about in a dark
labyrinth." Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855)
referred to mathematics as "the Queen of the
Sciences". Albert Einstein (1879-1955) stated
that "as far as the laws of mathematics refer to
reality, they are not certain; and as far as they
are certain, they do not refer to reality."
Mathematics is used throughout the world as
an essential tool in many fields, including natural
science, engineering, medicine, finance and the
social sciences. Applied mathematics, the
branch of mathematics concerned with
application of mathematical knowledge to other
fields, inspires and makes use of new
mathematical discoveries, which has led to the
development of entirely new mathematical
disciplines, such as statistics and game theory.
Mathematicians also engage in pure
mathematics, or mathematics for its own sake,
without having any application in mind. There is
no clear line separating pure and applied
mathematics, and practical applications for what
began as pure mathematics are often discovered.
