She received her BA in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Acting from Rollins College, appearing in plays with the Rollins Department of Theatre and improvisational shows with Rollins Improv Players. She studied at Upright Citizens Brigade, The Barrow Group, and the National Theatre Institute. Shayla is fluent in both English and Spanish, and has performed in both languages.
