LONDON 2012
CAPTURE THE MOMENT
Monday 23rd July - Friday 31st August
Be inspired to paint your own Olympic design on a beautiful piece of hand made English pottery this summer. If you don’t fancy
painting freehand, don’t worry there are some iconic, new decorating sponges cut to make a professional finish nice and easy –
including an Olympic cup, bicycle, football, an Olympic torch and rings, plus, of course, several famous London landmarks including
St Paul’s, a London Bus and the London Eye.
The studio will be adorned with the London 2012 theme and there will be pottery examples out on display to spark your imagination
and help get you started.
Studio fee £5.50 per person (not per item) covers all materials, demonstration, plus glazing and firing of all items decorated that
session. Choose from an extensive range of blank pottery, which includes our own cream ware blanks, as well as Emma Bridgewater.
The Gift Barn will be stocked with plenty of pocket money toys over the summer holidays for the children as well as the usual Emma
Bridgewater pottery, gifts and cards, and selection of traditional toys and games.
All ages welcome. Free entrance. Disabled access. Baby changing. Free parking.
Decorating Studio, Gift Barn, Courtyard Café & Coffee Lounge open daily 9:30-5:30.

discover how strong a limpet’s grip can be.
Each weekend in the school holidays, come rain or shine, storyteller Sue Bailey will lead a
story walk along the beach. There will be plenty of stops for stories, riddles and rhymes as
well as the chance to explore some rock pools.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES GUIDE
We do not recommend any club or activity group, we simply offer information on what we
know is available and therefore take no responsibility for the information provided. Please
contact the activity provider directly for further information on a particular event.
Please ensure that when enquiring about any activity you ask the following questions:
Do the staff/volunteers have an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau Checks?
How will they keep your child safe and well?
Do they have a child protection policy in place?
Do they have a late collection policy, e.g. ensuring the group/club know who the person will
be who picks up your child at the end of the day, and what to do if no one arrives
Don't be afraid to ask questions and if you're not entirely happy with their response seek
another activity for your child.
