CAPABILITIES BRIEFING Presented by: Roy Johnson Sr. Field Support Technician PulseTech Products Corporation Founded in 1994, PulseTech® Products is at the forefront of researching, developing and delivering next-generation battery testing, maintenance and charging systems. Mission Statement: Produce innovative, simple to use battery enhancing products which always outperform the competition, improve our customer’s productivity, competitiveness and quality of life. PulseTech Background For the past 18 years, PulseTech has been working with the US Military to help reduce the consumption of vehicle and equipment lead-acid batteries. Kuwait Afghanistan PulseTech Performance What Makes us Different? PulseTech has a patented high frequency voltage pulsation charging system which has been scientifically proven to break up naturally occurring sulfation on all types of lead acid batteries, including flooded, AGM, VRLA, and GEL. This patented Pulse Technology waveform is simply the most effective method to remove damaging battery sulfation and enhance battery performance. The entire charging cycle is controlled by microprocessors that consistently evaluate a batteries condition to ensure the appropriate amount of charge is being applied. Our patented pulse waveform has a strictly-controlled rise time, pulse-width, frequency, amplitude of current and voltage pulse. Helps all types of lead acid batteries last much longer and just as importantly accept, store and release maximum power when needed. Battery Life Cycle Management Life Management Cycle Capability Gap? Only 1 has battery Charging capability. Recent Savings Examples • KY-NG; after implementing a Battery Maintenance Management Plan (BMMP) have reduced their lead acid battery consumption by 90%, saving millions annually Ref: http://www.almc.army.mil/alog/issues/NovDec10/battery_manager.html • Camp Arifjan Kuwait; A two-man team working in a tent saved the Army more than $7 million over an 18 month period by charging batteries for re-use. Ref: http://www.army.mil/article/78581/Hawker_Battery_mission_turns_out_the_l • 3rd BDE, 4th ID put a battery recharging program in place in 2012. In the first 8 months they successfully recovered 1522 batteries. This was a Cost savings of over $383,640, and was done with $16k worth of equipment (2 Pallet and 2 Pro HD chargers). Since this point they have added more gear and now documented savings over $650k. • 1st BDE, 25th ID. Implemented a program on Fort Wainwright Alaska in Jan 2013. Since implementation they have documented savings over $250k. • The list goes on and on……………you don’t need to spend a bunch of money to see immediate results. The appropriate level of equipment is based on unit equipment density, mission, and personnel.
