ROCKY MOUNTAIN The 2012 Rocky Mountain Airshow Building on 32 years of aviation events in Colorado, Colorado Sport Aviation (CSA) is planning a spectacular “Walk Through Time” in the air and on the ground. There will be a living history comprised of a number of the nation’s premier flying vintage aircraft, both military & civilian, along with the nation’s best collections of military vehicles and re-enactors in a pyrotechnic remembrance of America’s battles for freedom. National aviation vendors will be showcased on the expanded main ramp midway providing unparalleled access to attendees and runway/taxiways. The Rocky Mountain Regional Fly-In at the event hosts hundreds of aircraft from around the country, national aviaton vendors and thousands of pilots looking to see the latest aviation products and services. Enjoy an outstanding food selection catering to a wide variety of tastes and dietary needs will be on hand. The Adventure Zone is also slated to inspire today’s youth through aviation. Through hands-on activities, inspirational speakers and numerous opportunities to get their feet in the air, excitement will abound! History of the Organization In 1979, The EAA Rocky Mountain Regional Fly-In began as a dream for a handful of Colorado aviation enthusiasts. Growing in scale and scope, the event has seen a number of venues from Longmont, Greeley and Watkins and now the rich and vast metropolitan Denver community itself. During this time, opportunities for aviation organizations have grown as well. Today, the showcase Rocky Mountain Airshow is seen as the premier aviation event in the Denver area. Our reputation has advanced each year with more and more groups identifying this as the “must be there” event of the year.
