The show is run by volunteers and I wish to thank them all for their support throughout the year.
I also wish to thank our sponsors. Their ongoing contribution enables us to continue to provide
a great show.
I hope you all enjoy the attractions listed in our programme and taste our local wines and
produce.

In September last year Matt Dunbabin was awarded the 2015 Australian Farmer of the Year.
Matt is an active part our committee and we pass on our congratulations to him.
We also congratulate Paul and Chris Lovell - Rochford Hall Olive Grove, Kellevie for their
achievement in winning State and National Champion for 2015.
The produce our region showcases, and our wonderful community members contribute to a
great country show.

ATTRACTIONS
Flyball
Unlike any other dog
activity to date, flyball is
pure fun for everyone: the
dogs, the handlers and the
spectators. Spectators are
encouraged to applaud,
laugh and cheer on their
favorite team.
City of Hobart Highland
Pipe Band was established
in 1946, the Band is one of
the longest active and
largest pipe bands in
Tasmania. Watch them
perform.
Group Noise Rock Choir,
the brainchild of Lisa and
Jamie Scott deliver high
powered, adrenaline fueled
rock hits with an awesome
rock band. Since its
formation Group Noise have
made regular appearances
in Festival of Voices and
performed at The Falls in
2013 and 2015.
The Bendigo Bank Animal
Nursery is definitely worth
a visit. Walk through this
exhibit and you will not be
disappointed. With special
thanks to the Sorell School

ATTRACTIONS
Draught Horses
We hold displays, training/
field/fun days with our
horses using heritage
implements such as ,
ploughs, harrows, carts
and sleds etc. Our horses
are always very well
received by the public,
everyone loves our “Gentle
Giants” and we love
showing what they can do
Dunalley Tasman
Neighbourhood house
kids crafting and nursing
mothers tent. Parents need
a rest for the kids? Head to
the Parent/Child Nursing
Tent, where there is play
equipment & activities. Plus
a private baby feeding and
change area.
Light Horse Brigade Apart
from their common interest
in horses they share a
passion for keeping alive the
memory of the sacrifices
made by our Light Horse
ancestors.
Eddie Freeman grew up in
the timber industry and
trained as a professional
chainsaw timber feller.
He is now self-employed
to pursue his ability as a
chainsaw carver.

FUNBUGS SHOW

the MAKEBELIEVE GARDEN.
A fun, interactive, musical
show suitable for all the

Tasmania’s popular (Sorell
based) group MAKEBELIEVE.
Bipedal Beetles
Bring your blankets,
bring your buddies,
and prepare to be
bewitched, bewildered
and bamboozled by
the brilliant balancing
and bouncing of
the Bipedal Beetles.

“Sands Family Circus”
Bullocks
Brian Fish and his bullock
team will demonstrate the
skills of yesteryear on the
arena at 9:30am, 12:00pm
and 2.30pm.
Scary Family
Spanning from almost 9
to almost 60 years of age,
the delightful Scary Family
Band will present country,
folk and jazz songs featuring
chickens, bugs, banjos and
tiny spaceships.

Axemen’s Association.
There will be two events
on the arena Tree Felling
State Championship and
Tree Felling handicap plus
all the normal events in the
woodchop arena.

Verna Wylie turns 100
Congratulations to Life Member Mrs
Verna Wylie who turned 100 on the 25th
of June 2015, she celebrated her birthday
with family and friends. She received
letters from the Queen, the Governor
General, the Governor of Tasmania,
the Prime Minister and the Premier of
Tasmania.
Verna has been a dedicated and
committed volunteer for many
organisations within our community.
