of Nicolò Machiavelli – past and present“

Especially when it comes to leadership in confusingly complex situations, managers
can learn extremely practical lessons from figures such as Nicolò Machiavelli (14691527). War is as old as mankind, and if we want to learn something about peace, we
must not only study peace but have to deal with war. This is also the case in business:
As long as everything is going smoothly, it seems as if anyone could do it. But beware
of great pressure; then other skills are required. In a crisis, there are a number of possible strategies – from the very “soft“ to the very „hard“ variants. What Machiavelli
would do today and what options are available when “the fun part is over“ can be learned on Thursday, March 19 in Tuttlingen.
