ISSUE #87 November 2011 Predictability of pricing – update service when pricing changes Diligent stock keeping Bringing the latest developments in alloy technology to you – optimising properties and constituents to ensure best price / performance ratio wherever possible Framework Design Manual Alloy Processing Manual Comprehensive Alloy Properties Manual Troubleshooting Poster Large range to suit all needs and provide options Prosthetics SR Vivo TAC® / SR Ortho TAC® For the exact determination of the position of implants The radiopaque tooth is a prefabricated tooth with a radiopaque effect on X-rays. Clinicians are able to identify the outline and position of the tooth, as it is clearly distinguishable from the natural tooth structure. This tooth is used by dental technicians in conjunction with drilling templates as a diagnostic instrument for clinicians. • Time is saved in fabricating stents, as the teeth are prefabricated • The positioning of implants is facilitated • Consistently high radiopacity is ensured • The moulds correspond to the familiar SR Vivodent PE and SR Vivodent / SR Orthotyp tooth lines • The tooth shape and length can be modified with Modifier Polymer and Monomer which is also radiopaque • The teeth bond well with clear heat and coldcuring polymers to complete the stent SR Vivo TAC Pre-implantological radiodiagnostics The set-up of radiopaque teeth enables the dentist to establish the axial implant position in relation to the established bone substance. The radiopaque teeth SR Vivo TAC / SR Ortho TAC offer an efficient solution for determining the future placement, location and angulation of implants. The consistently high radiopacity is achieved in the industrial fabrication process. The innovative SR Vivo TAC / SR Ortho TAC teeth allow the diagnostic steps needed for planning the placement of implants to be conducted carefully. Finished stents for the upper and lower jaws. SR Vivo TAC Technique Guide* Upper anterior teeth: A15, A24B, A25, A27 Lower anterior teeth: A4, A8, A9 By choosing these moulds a wide range of indications can be covered. In special cases the teeth can be easily adjusted. Modifier SR Ortho TAC Forms N2-N6 for the upper and lower posterior teeth, in the same moulds as for SR Orthotyp posterior teeth. 2 Self-curing composite, which is supplied as a monomer and a polymer. Barium sulfate is added as radiopaque material. The Lumamat 100 combines light with an electronically controlled heater. With the controlled light/heat tempering process, the optimum material properties of the SR Adoro veneering material can be achieved. The Lumamat 100 is a component of the SR Adoro System and is used to cure and temper the light-curing SR Adoro veneering composite. Moreover, other light-curing resins can be polymerised without heater (program 2 and 4). • “Up-and-back” opening mechanism • Integrated counter for the operating hours • New object holder with limiter for the tempering area • Standard programmes (P1-P3) for SR Adoro • Integrated viewing window • Easy changing of the lamps • PC and printer connection • Possibility to control the temperature and light by means of the L100 Test Set Twister Vacuum Mixing Unit Manual operation All mixing parameters are quickly and easily entered. The high performance motor and high quality vacuum pump guarantee homogenous and bubble-free mixing results for dental plasters, investments and silicones. Framework design 3. Applying the Liner The framework reflects the reduced anatomical tooth shape. As a result, the composite can be applied in an even layer and will consequently be appropriately supported. Sinter & blast with 100 micron sand at 1 bar. Extrude the desired amount of the ready-to-use Liner paste from the syringe and spread it out slightly on the mixing pad using a disposable brush. Make sure to fully cover all areas, as the Liner provides an essential bonding surface to the luting composite. The Liner layer must be at least 150 microns thick and has to be precured for 20 seconds per segment using the Quick curing light. Milled IPS e.max ZirCAD framework 2. Conditioning with SR Link Apply SR Link immediately after having tapped off the blasting residue. Use a clean disposable brush to apply SR Link to the veneering surfaces and allow to react for 3 minutes. Do not “soak” zirconium oxide surface in SR Link. 5. Final Polymerisation / Tempering Apply SR Gel on the entire veneering surface ensuring that all areas are fully covered, but not too thick, and cure. Coat with SR Gel and mount on the object holder Apply the liner to the active framework and remove the inhibition layer with a disposable sponge after curing 4. Dentine / Incisal Layering The individual SR Adoro pastes are layered in accordance with the layering diagram. Adapt the 1st SR Adoro layer (e.g. Dentine) firmly to ensure an effective bond between the composite and the Liner surface & precure each segment for 20 seconds using the Quick curing light. 6. Finishing / Polishing Finish the restoration with cross-cut tungsten carbide burs, fine diamonds and flexible discs. For prepolishing, smooth out the surface with rubber polishers and silicone polishing wheels. High-gloss polish with a goat hair brush, cotton or leather buff, as well as Universal Polishing Paste. Apply SR Link immediately after the blasting procedure Apply dentine, deep dentine and incisal materials Completed SR Adoro restoration on the model 2. Application of SR Adoro Gingiva materials 5. Final Polymerisation / Tempering Once the veneering surface has been conditioned, directly commence with the application of the SR Adoro Gingiva materials in accordance with the individual shade selection. Apply SR Gel on the entire veneering surface ensuring that all areas are fully covered, but not too thick, to prevent the formation of an inhibited layer before polymerisation / tempering in the Lumamat 100 with light and heat at 104 °C. Condition the ceramic surface by blasting or etching it with IPS Ceramic Etching Gel. Apply Monobond Plus & let it react for 60 sec. Apply Heliobond in a thin layer immediately after that, disperse with compressed air, and cure for 60 sec. with the Quick curing light. Example of a possible individual layering diagram Start with the more intensive gingiva shades applied on the fired opaquer to achieve the corresponding in-depth effect. Towards the surface, lighter, more transparent materials provide for a lifelike appearance. Subsequently, precure each individual layer for 20 sec per segment – using the Quick curing light. Coating with SR Gel Application of Monobond Plus and Heliobond. Gingiva layering with SR Adoro Gingiva materials (G1–G5) SR Adoro for Gingiva 1. Framework design The portion to be veneered with Gingiva material has to be included into the contouring of the framework. The ceramic opaquer is applied on both areas of the tooth and the gingiva components. Section 2: Application of a translucent reflective mixture on the remaining third (1 part cream coloured reflective material + 1 part T Neutral) To accentuate the effect of light diffraction on the incisal edge, a small amount of the Dentine material has been applied. In this case cream coloured reflective material was used.
