Thank you to all Rm 1&2 parents for coming along with
students to the goal setting interviews. It was wonderful to Triathlon Results
hear such great feedback about the self-directed learning.

of our parents to see Microsoft 365 programme in action.
Our swimming programme comes to an end this week with
the Yr 3-6 sports as the culmination of our programme as the Year 2
Domain Pool will be closed. Our Yr 7-8 will have to wait
another week to display their great skills in at CBAY. We
have certainly noticed huge shifts in students progress after
such a concentrated season with very few days off due to Year 3
weather. Never before had so many students achieved all the
skills or Yr 3-4 mastering swimming lengths competently.
It was wonderful to see all our students “give it a go” at the Year 4
triathlon last week. While the kind of event is not everyone’s
favourite we were extremely impressed with the positive
attitude all the students showed and the great number of
Year 5
parents who came to cheer them on.
See you at the fair!

Swimming Sports
Our Yr 3-6 students have their
swimming sports on THURSDAY 10
MARCH.
The Yr 3-4 programme begins at 9.15am so students need to
be ready at school at 8.45am in their sports uniforms. We
suggest students take an extra towel and some food to snack
on. They will be walked back to school at lunchtime.
Treemendous Project
Our Treemendous working
bee is set for SATURDAY 9
APRIL from 10.00am with
a BBQ supplied by the
sponsors, Mazda, at 1pm.
While we are now aware
that some winter sports
are on this day we cannot
change the date as the
Mazda sponsors from
Auckland have tickets
booked to attend.
Work on the landscaping project starts on 21 March with MidLand Contracting doing the “spade work” prior to the working
bee when we will plant the 350 plants, lay mulch and gravel
and put students bug motels, lizard house and Taniwha in
The Yr 5-6 programme starts at 1.00pm so these students place. Certainly a very exciting project for our school led by

We look forward to seeing parents at this event. The Yr 5-6 Students will bring you home a personal invitation in the next

number of parents as possible to help.
Mr Spence or Mrs Leonard sign them out.

Year 7-8 Swimming Sport
As the event starts at 9.00am we will be needing to leave
school promptly at 8.30am. Students will be bused to and
from as we know it is too difficult for parents to get time off
work for transport. Your child is well prepared for this event
and know what strokes they are competing in.
All students need to wear their sports uniform and togs and
bring a drink and snacks to keep them going throughout the
morning.
Everyone is invited to come and watch the event.
Duck Bingo
One of the activities at the Fair is “Duck Bingo”
where the owner of the “lucky square” in
which the duck has done “it’s business” wins
$500.
Individuals or businesses can purchase a
square for $100. The duck will be in pride of
place at the fair.
If you are interested in buying a square for your business we
will proudly display your business logo at this event on the day.
Individuals might want to form a syndicate to raise the $100.
After all there’s a 1:25 chance of winning $500.
